McGee not Romo, next quarterback to take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl

Here is someone's opinion on Stephen McGee:

• QB Stephen McGee, Dallas (fourth round; 101st overall): If McGee had received pro-style coaching throughout his time at Texas A&M, he could have been a first-round pick. Taken 100 picks later than Matthew Stafford, there are a number of NFL scouts who feel McGee will eventually be the better NFL quarterback. I'll take it a step further -- it will be McGee, and not current starter Tony Romo, who will be the next quarterback to take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl.

I hope one day McGee will be able to. I also think Romo is capable just as well of helping this team to a championship

No kidding.

Though I will say that once I clicked on the link, I saw it was Rob Rang who said this, and I've always liked his draft analysis. He's definitely a step up from some of the jokers who write these things.

I liked Rob's site before he was hired by CBS several years ago. He is a good draft guy, but saying this is like throwing a dart into the ocean and hoping you hit a fish.

If that's the case then we are not winning one for a WHOLE lot of years!

I guess we are bringing the veer to the nfl??? McGee is a great pitch man!

Romo is the man IMO. We have the pieces....we just don't have leadership.

That's a big IF. You are what you are, a 4th rounder.

Rob Rang's generally pretty good. Or was before they went to CBSSports.

Great news! :D

Increasing McGee's value is all good. Not sure about everyone else, but I would like to win sooner, McGee probably won't "ripen" for another 3 years, minimum.

And that's not even taking into account Wade Wilson's prowess at grooming QBs. /sarcasm

McGee was better his first two years in college. After he was injured he was never the same again. He is a wild card...no one knows.

I would rather have the Texas QB Colt McCoy....he is cool under pressure, makes good decisions, able to make all the passes, and makes others around him better.... Colt should have a good year and rise in the draft standings for 2010 draft. Draft Colt in 2010.:)

Neither one of them, or Montana (in his prime), will take this team anywhere until the OL can provide protection! (and that ain't happening in the near furture)

That is the ugly truth...thanks for the reminder of our roadblock to victory. I told someone before the draft Dallas should consider drafting all offensive lineman...then maybe we could find a few who could actually step in and play.

Our offensive line looks like Tarzan but blocks like Jane.:D

Yeah, that is the group that will ultimately determine how we finish.
