1.. Houston Texans - Blake Bortles QB UCF
2.. St. Louis Rams (Wash) - Jadeveon Clowney DE South Carolina
3.. Jacksonville Jaguars - Teddy Bridgewater QB Louisville
4.. Cleveland Browns - Johnny Manziel QB Texas A&M
5.. Oakland Raiders - Sammy Watkins WR Clemson
6.. Atlanta Falcons - Greg Robinson T Auburn
7.. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Khalil Mack OLB Buffalo

9.. Buffalo Bills - Jake Matthews T Texas A&M
10. Detroit Lions - Mike Evans WR Texas A&M
11. Tennessee Titans - Anthony Barr OLB UCLA
12. New York Giants - Taylor Lewan T Michigan
13. St. Louis Rams - Calvin Pryor S Louisville
14. Chicago Bears - Aaron Donald DT Pittsburgh
15. Pittsburgh Steelers - Ha Ha Clinton-Dix S Alabama

16. Dallas Cowboys - Timmy Jernigan DT Florida St.
Analysis: Donald is a great fit here if he drops, but Jernigan brings a lot of value as a 3-technique defensive tackle in this system as well. He is very strong and quick versus the run, and I love his motor and awareness -- he just isn't as fast or smooth as Donald. The Cowboys need help all along their defensive line and in their secondary, and Jernigan could come in and make an impact.

I would take Mosley over Jernigan.

However I think this board is kinda in fantasy world when it comes to the 3 tech position. Where are all of these guys like Aaron Donald running around at? Donald is an exception, or freak if you will, not the model of what a 3 tech is. Jernigan may not run a 4.7 40 but he was an extremely disruptive DT for FSU. Didn't result in huge sack #'s but he was constantly in the backfield and a huge reason why they were so great this year. He would do just fine in Marenelli's system.

If this is how the draft plays out I would consider moving down and taking Hageman or Ealy.

Not a 3 tech in Marinelli system. He likes quick pass rushing players for this position. If he didn't like Floyd why would he pick Jernigan.

floyd and jernigan are totally different players.

floyd had 4.5 sacks in 3 years.
jernigan had 4.5 just last year.

If Mosely is there at 16, I don't think our F.O. has it in them to take a solid player like him...always seems like we need to make a "splash"

Last year's NFL rookie of the year had 6 sacks in his college career. That's a pretty bad way to determine a players ability

Ansah was still learning to actually play football since he was born in Ghana and taught the game very late. Tho his 4.5 sacks as a senior were a Jernigan like total.
different case entirely.

floyd and jernigan were worlds apart and anyone who watched both that doesn't see that should stop trying to evaluate players.

floyd was a consistent, every down force who was immovable and chased sideline to sideline.
jernigan was a burst guy who got in the backfield and played north and south.

again really couldn't be more different in style for guys so similar in size and position.

Rams and Lions significant upgrade with those picks. Not a fan of ours. Would rather trade down there, or pick Mosley.

this is one of the dumber things that keeps getting stated.

we drafted travis ferederick last year.
we drafted tyron smith in the top 10 not long ago.

we are well beyond splashes.

the only real splash at 16 is probably manziel... and that might be a great draft pick.

if they pass on mosley it will be about injury grade or what they think that have at MLB already.
the same reason other teams will have passed to allow him to get there.

It's true. After watching the Favre documentary last night on NFL Network, seeing all those clutch performances, it's hard not to wonder if Manziel might be that good. It's worth a dice roll at 16.

Sheldon Richardson was rookie of the year last year....

And I never compared Floyd and Jernigan so not sure what that is about. I don't think they are all that similar either

i despise tamu in many ways but if you are going to pass on manziel you sure better be right.
the most nfl-like defense in college football is without question alabama and manziel made that defense his shoe-shine boy.
cocky and arrogant enough to believe you are the worlds greatest is a trait oddly enough all the worlds greatest seem to share.
humble is vastly overrated.

the spotlight in dallas is sooooo bright and there really isnt room for romo and manziel here long-term so it is definitely not an ideal fit but it was a great problem for green bay to have with favre/rodgers and i'd love to be dealing with drama as long as it leads to super bowls.
