For this one he does scenarios for each team.

The top 13 off the board - Luck, Griffin III, Kalil, Richardson, Claiborne, Blackmon, Ingram, Tannehill, Cox, Reiff, Kuechly, Coples, Floyd.

14) Dallas Cowboys
Record: 8-8 | Top needs: S, DL, CB, WR, G, RB, OLB, QB

Dontari Poe DT Memphis

Scenario 1: Defensive line might not seem like the top need, but Poe is the kind of young, versatile talent defensive coordinator Rob Ryan would like to develop. And with Kenyon Coleman on the downside of his career and Jay Ratliff able to move to 5-technique/DE, Poe would bring some depth and flexibility to the defensive front.

Scenario 2: The Cowboys have been searching for some time for a versatile, do-it-all safety who can be a quarterback in the secondary, so Barron could easily be the pick.

Scenario 3: Bring in Floyd to provide QB Tony Romo with another weapon on the outside.

Scenario 4: Brockers is also an option to upgrade the defensive line.

Scenario 5: The Cowboys need to shore things up at cornerback, and at this point Gilmore would be a good fit.

Scenario 1: Poe is getting some "to the Cowboys" talk. Hope not. DeCastro would still be my top preference at #14.

Scenario 2: Barron seems more likely than Poe, to me. If not Fletcher Cox.

Scenario 3: Floyd? Hope not and doubt it, at the same time. Would much rather draft WR Ryan Broyles in the 3rd, and be tickled about it.

Scenario 4: Brockers is a "maybe" to me. Neither hot or cold on the guy, but I'd be willing to bet we go another way.

Scenario 5: If the Cowboys do select a Round 1 CB, I'm a fan of Stephon Gilmore. Not necessarily at #14, but if a CB in the 1st: Gilmore's my guy.

Poe hasn't done anything on film. I really hope we take Barron, DeCastro, or trade down and take Mercilus.

Anyone see the sports science thing on ESPN about Floyd? Pretty impressive stuff if you ask me.

I didn't. I'll look it up and watch it. Still ... do you see Floyd as a valid draft pick option in the 1st Round, studly WR prospect or not?

That's a cool segment. However, I remember them doing a profile on Ryan Matthews coming out of college that made the dude look like Superman. Unfortunately, it hasn't translated to an NFL field.

Agree. More and more I'm becoming a Mercilus fan. Especially, if we trade down. Or Cox if he is there.

It depends on a ton of factors. Like if everyone we wanted was gone (very unlikely). Or we traded down big time and he was there in the late 20s or something. I wouldn't say its not possible, just very unlikely.

:) Fair enough. All guess work at this point, and there are so many wonderful prospects to like. Pray the Cowboys make the right choices, whenever they're on the clock. And I like Floyd, btw. Thanks for the vid. Awesome stuff that I really enjoy watching.

I think he's one of the 10 or 12 best players in this draft.

He is better than all the free agent wide receivers other than Vincent Jackson who got $11million. He is way better than Robinson or Garcon at 6-8 million. I don't think we need him but he is an excellent player.

What I did hear was some scouts talking about how he doesnt like contact. Leary about him when there are so many WRs in this draft.

With Cox and Ingram gone, and the elite prospects all gone and unavailable as trade down bait, I'd be happy with door number two and Barron, and that sure sounds like the most likely of the scenarios listed.

scenario 2 and 5 are the best options. 1 and 4 is the worse. 3 just doesn't make sense.

You know, I could come up with 5 different scenarios for each team and probably guess one of them right also.

He actually gets paid to do this.

Colour me confused... Doesn't he have Floyd coming off the board at 13... ( The last name in the list he gives?) then he says he is an option for us?

McShay = Draft expert? Sure, I am a draft expert as well...I list my top 5 guys as 1. Coples, 2. DeCastro, 3. Ingram, 4. Barron, 5. Richardson

McShay is just throwing stuff against he wall and seeing what sticks...then he can come back if they take Floyd and say "see? I was the only one saying they would take floyd"

I like McShay, but throwing a list out there makes me chuckle...
