Yeah I miss the good old days (aka 2 weeks ago) when we all thought Floyd was a sure bet at 18 after we missed out on Richardson.

Very interesting that Kiper moved Jarvis Jones up while everyone else has him falling.

Sylvester Williams that high on both boards (McShay has always loved him) is also surprising. His draft stock is literally all over the place.

Bjoern Werner is intriguing.
If both Warmack and Cooper are gone by 18 and IF a team reaches or trades for a QB prior to 18, Werner could slide.

this is the NFL draft. Werner will be gone because he is a pass rusher and we may well have our choice of Warmack or Cooper.

not that i'd complain one bit.

i'd take either guy and be quite happy.

tho my main target would be richardson if warmack/cooper are there i'd be a very excited cowboys fan.

vaccaro being ranked 12th scares me.
i do not want to see us trade up for a safety.
we have so few trade assets.

That's the one that caught my eye as well.

I'm a big Sylvester Williams fan. I guess you can downgrade him some because of age but I still think he belongs in the first round.

Yep. Me to. Couldn't figure out why he wasn't higher up on many experts boards. Good to see his getting attention now.

I like that guy too. He can play either a 1 or a 3. Great athlete and uses his hands. I don't think he'll be a perinial pro bowler, but I also think his bust factor is lower than the rest of the dt's outside of Star. That has to count for something.

It's not a good thing if we want to draft him.:laugh2:

I think Vaccaro is too high on both boards. He is a good player, but I don't think he is a game changer.

Getting Floyd at 15 for the Saints in our Kiper mock was highway robbery.

Mel said in his chat this week that if Austin had better size he'd be the first overall pick in this draft.

He could be right. As is there is no sure fire #1 pick that people seem to agree on.

Interesting thing about his lack of size though...I don't recall him missing time for injuries or even ever having a bad injury his whole time at WVU. I have seen him hit pretty darn hard and he just pops up.

Little backs can be very good. sometimes they are so small its hard to hit them square

Some guys are just more durable, regardless of size.

People had concerns about Chris Johnson being an every down back.
Well, 5 full seasons later, he has averaged almost 300 carries and 1400 yards rushing per season....
and has not missed a single game.

I notice Tavon runs out of bounds more than almost any player I've ever seen when there is no huge advantage to gain. That'll probably keep him in one piece longer as well. Emmitt did that alot too, btw.

Some teams get so mad at chasing him...I have seen a few times where he has ran out of bounds and the defensive player is so mad or just concentrating on him so much that they hit him out of bounds and get a 15 yd penalty tacked on to a great run.:)

His knack for stopping and then starting again to reaching full speed is a bit freakish.

I'm a little concerned about his pure receiving skills, but the other stuff is so great that it can be overlooked. It's not like he has bad receiving skills, just a bit unpolished.

Even before Werner's sub-par combine I was listening to Greg Cosell whose opinion I value talk about how he didn't love Werner's game tape and thought Tank Carradine was the more impressive player. Since that time I have listened to some former scouts echo Cosell's statement as Werner being a guy that needs to win early with quickness or he's finished.

Still no love for Xavier Rhodes!

For all this talk about how weak the skill positions are I could see 4-5 WRs/2 TEs/RB taken 1st round-early 2nd.
