Did any of you guys cheer when Roy scored 2 TD's against the Giants? Yeah I thought so. People are too hard on the guy, drops happen. Yeah we gave up a bunch of picks in the draft, but WR is one of the toughest positions to draft and we brought in a solid player. He will come up big in these divisional games, trust me. He will cause some matchup problems against these corners coming up. Big size advantage, Roy finally got a call last night for PI against him. I've seen a lot of pass interference on him this season uncalled. Remember Asante Samuel in the endzone the first Eagles game?

Do you also remember that #81 player? He dropped plenty. His production is nowhere near his, but he only had 3 targets. It looked like Tracey Porter had tight coverage on 2 and possibly broke it up with his hand/arm. Devery Henderson dropped an easy TD, its a part of the game it goes both ways. Yeah he only had 1 catch, but it was a nice catch and got some YAC, he also drew a penalty that gave us a first down. I think his dividends are yet to come. Be patient.

No one remembers Witten's drops. Only Roy's because Roy's was a game changer and he was wide open.........

Or maybe, just maybe people let Witten have a pass because the guy produces regularly and plays the game the way it should be played.

I've been a supporter of RW too and I'm still not ready to give up on him yet. However, that drop last night was pathethic. Whether it was him or any other NFL receiver. Bottom line, he has to make that play for his team....period!

I'm going to just back off on Roy Williams, the guy is what he is. Like Matt Millen said last night, you just got to know how to use him.

Folks just need to understand, he is not our best receiver but he is very crucial to our success this season.

Roy has peaked, he's only 27, and he plays like a diet Keyshawn - and that's being generous. I hope we target a burner of the Terry Glenn mold early in the draft next year. Receivers like Jackson and Harvin can change the game at any minute, our Wr core if full of long striders with not much wiggle.

Roy is my least favorite Cowboy because he has constantly made excuses and is the main reason why the 09 draft class was rather forgetable.

Roy is missing too many plays. He is not money. He is a liability too often. Romo just needs to be careful about where and when he throws the ball to him. Or give some of his snaps to Austin and make him the number one WR. Austin doesn't really need to leave the field so often. He should be out there in the 12 and not Roy.

Ogletree and Crayton are more Y receivers and should get some more snaps in 3 WR sets.

Roy plays like Keyshawn but without the toughness.

It is hard to have much success when you are slow, stupid, have bad footwork, bad hands and alligator arms.

He is an absolute disgrace the way he steals Jerry's money every week out there. He better be giving 80% of it away to charity because he doesn't deserve it.

I don't care what it takes - do what we have to do to keep RW off of the field and Miles Austin on the field.

I think it is safe to say that Roy is just not working out. Miles Austin is clearly the team's #1 receiver and Ogletree is starting to really show some promise. I understand that we cant just cut him considering how much we gave up for him, but that does not mean he has to start.

It was time to do this about 8 weeks ago, IMO.

Yeah, we gave up two high round picks for him and then ended up reaching for Jason Williams in the third with what ended up being our first pick.

And you know, it's almost miraculous what D Jackson and Harvin have done so far since I keep hearing from Jerry how receivers don't contribute early, which is why we NEVER draft any of them early. Instead we'd rather give picks away for a proven dud.

I could have killed him when he dropped that pass in the 4th Quarter with about 9 Min to go and up by Two TD's, that made us punt and the Saints went right down and scored.

I was pretty upset myself... I have no doubt Dallas would have probably scored on that drive because they were in good field position.

Or it could be because Witten is the best tight end in Cowboy's history and has proven his worth to this team over and over again ... either or.

No, my expectations are the same for both of them as far as receiving goes.

Its just that Witten, by far, meets those expectations and Roy doesn't.

And yes, we do get pissed when he sucks. Knowing or thinking he sucks doesn't make the sting of him sucking any less.

Scapegoat? Hardly.

McBriar was a scapegoat. Roy is just a complete underachiever.
