Here at The Zone, we have been discussing over the past few days how the media has over-blown the whole Owens injury, Parcells, etc. (fabricate & exaggerate)

The PTI guy Wilbon saying how Owens is ripping apart the Cowboys. (lie)

The Dallas writer that said Parcells was constantly calling Owens out.(lie)

Then the SI report that Parcells denied.(fabrication)

The media is getting out of control, and it's not just in sports.

I'm not really an O'Reilly fan but last night he said this ... "In my 30 years practicing journalism, I have never seen things this bad. Newspapers will print anything. The Internet's full of lies and misinformation. And many TV and radio people will literally put anything on the air."

He then went on to give an example of a lie they had printed about him.

My point is, we are not imagining this because it is the Cowboys, ... it is happening and it is everywhere.

I think you misquoted Oreilly. He does not practice journalism, just sensationalism. I think it is pretty ironic that he is complaining about misinformation. He is pretty much the biggest tool in the media.

I agree with Reilly, although it is the pot calling the kettle black in that case. The media these days is terrible. The stuff about the Cowboys is just one small example of a large problem.

Hahah oh ok. I mean the guy completely sacrifices his credability but that doesn't count, because it doesn't suit your opinion.

I could give you a link to about a million sites documenting things o'reilly has said or done that are incorrect. However if I do that somebody will jump all over me and claim im some sort of ultra liberal based on the site. Just google o'reilly and the word lie, or lies, or liar.

Getting back to the Cowboys, the sheer number of the media distortions is amazing. It is only training camp and yet even the respected SI.com is being dissed by Parcells.
