Breaking news on ESPN tonight. The Commanders are benching RG III which will probably lead to them not picking up his 18 million dollar option. He has the worst QBR of any quarterback with at least 100 attempts. Cousins will be the starter the rest of the way.

Talk about an absolute franchise crushing miss. Not only does it set them back years but you also have to figure in the opportunity lost from the draft picks and they are starting over from scratch.

To be honest, kinda gives me a very uneasy pause when I think about the post Romo era.

I had my doubts about RGIII, when ne came out of college, but I didn't think he would flame out in such a spectacular way.

He's made a ton of mistakes on and off the field, but I have to say that I almost feel sorry for the guy. He is a good person.

Rg3 is a good QB.

He had a HUGE injury and ends up in the different scheme limbo that plagues QB's.

Alex Smith was not very good because of the scheme issues as well.

That must be demoralizing.

I see no reason why Washington would release him, unless they spend a high pick on a QB. I think he sits all of next year, before going some where else in 2016.
