I see no reason why Washington would release him, unless they spend a high pick on a QB. I think he sits all of next year, before going some where else in 2016.

They have to decide whether or not to pick up his portion year before May 2015..@ $9mm. You don't make that kind of investment in a QB who is not part of your long term plans. I could see them try to move him for whatever picks they can get to salvage something for him...most likely only a 5th round pick.

on another note, the reaction on ExtremeSkins is low comedy gold. Hard to believe that so many of their fans are actually asking if Colt could be the franchise QB they're looking for. :lmao2:

Lol. Commanders. Man, I wonder how much it would suck to be a Sk*ns fan these days. Oh, wait, season ticket holders who'd dad's played in the stupid band are burning their racially insensitive jerseys because they're so upset with the futility and the perpetual cellar-dwelling. And things aren't getting better anytime soon. So much fun to watch.

The option is for 2016. He's already under contract for 2015. And yes, extremeskins is in total meltdown and it's hilarious

The organization took out RG3 and the Commanders community is rioting.

Extremeskins is currently in Ferguson county status and it is worth reading all 8 pages of it.

All those RG Leaf comments when he was drafted seem rather prophetic.

All jokes aside, their backup has only beaten one team.... and it's us.

So what? That's how the NFL works. Meanwhile, we're at 8-3, they're at 3-8. And we'll get another shot at them.

And, for the record, we can officially quit the 'at least we're not' angle. We're a good team this year. We should enjoy it.

These franchises are moving in opposite directions. They're done for the next 10 years

I live right outside DC. This is comical to watch and while I wish no bad for RGIII, he certainly has major flaws in everything but courage. Mechanics are horrible and he can't read coverage's and has no pocket presence. Now whether that is a holdover of being injured and not playing or not putting in the time who knows. Right now he is a one read and done quarterback and that's doesn't work in the NFL. The other thing which is consistent with this team is their lack of NFL quality lineman on both sides of the ball. They probably have two or perhaps three NFL caliber lineman and eventually that will catch up with you (as we all know who are Cowboy fans). RGIII's Rock Star status in D.C. is most likely over. Plug him into the Vince Young category who had a great rookie year and then faded into oblivion.

And they had `real football men` in charge giving up 3 ones and a two for him.

Anyone remembers the 2012 season end game in DC? There was a sound bite after the game where RG3 was telling Romo something in the line "don't listen to them … you're a great QB …etc etc"
I thought back then it was as insulting as it gets from a rookie QB talking to the Dallas Cowboys Quarterback…Look how tables turn now…
The guy is one in-secure, arrogant, everybody-look-at-me, over-rated QB .. he does have a sweet deep ball though

RG3-13 (soon) is the only player on that team that I like...other than that, they can just continue to implode...I LOVE when they lose; second only to Dallas winning in my "great feelings about the NFL" department....

maybe they will cut him, and we can bring him in as the back-up...he gets some tutoring, gets coached up, gets a REAL OLine in front of him....reclamation project....plus, just think how many 'skins fans that would affect negatively if he came to dallas and was successful....are there any bridges in DC?
