I'd tell him goodbye. He hasn't been a special back.

Melvin Gordon will demand trade without new deal

Melvin Gordon wants a new contract. The Los Angeles Chargers running back is preparing to hold out and demand a trade if he doesn't get one soon.

Gordon informed the Chargers that unless he receives a new contract, he will demand a trade and will not report to training camp, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

ESPN first reported the news.

Chargers veterans report to training camp on July 24.

He’s pretty incredibly average to just slightly above.
Don’t think he will find the same market that Bell did for his services....

He’s about to find out how much little value has.

Seems like the FO for the chargers needs to learn how to negotiate better. This is what 3 years in a row with a star player threatening to hold out?

Average and nothing special. Then again I'm speaking from what I saw during his first two years. Waste of a first round pick and how much is he trying to get lol

Wonder what numbers he's asking for.

He's not some elite back like a healthy Gurley, Zeke, Bell or even Barkley
