How in god's name does this guy throw three awful INT's (nearly four), and then still get so much love heaped on him? He was awful today. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to turn this into a Bledsoe thread, but c'mon, this guy IS overrated. If it wasn't for Westbrook taking his dumpy arse passes for an extra ten yards per pass, they would've had no chance winning this game. Why didn't Westbrook get any love? He, IMO, certainly deseves it more.

Yeah, I can't believe how much love he was getting from the commentator (whoever it was) for throwing a five yard pass that Westbrook ran for 52 yards. The love fest was absolutely "finger in mouth", while Westbrook got barely any applause.

I was absolutely cheering when that field goal was made. You would think I was a TB fan. I couldn't believe how much they were talking up someone who played so horribly.

mcnabb is either great or crappy. I can't stand the guy on a personal level, and yes he is way over rated. I have heard him called the best qb in the league before. what a joke that is. westbrook makes him as a player

He really threw 4, the 4th was dropped by a lineman

No, he threw 5...remember? He was under center and he threw the 5th one up on the ground! :laugh2:

Right on TV, in front of the whole crowd! McChoke strikes again!

Pretty sad considering that last TD was all Westbrook - ALL. Most RB's would have been tackled.

McNabb is a good QB, don't get me wrong, but those commentators makes me wonder if they're going to meet McNabb back on the bus for a threesome.

I ALMOST feel bad for Westbrook...ALMOST.

I would say that the love given to McNabb is similar to that given to Favre, it is often unearned.

McNabb rallied the Eagles, throwing one of his three late TD passes after Philadelphia was forced to take out a time out when the quarterback became ill and started throwing up between plays.

Wow. McNabb throws three INTs, brings his team back and then loses the game because of his defense and a spectacular kick by Matt Bryant and now he's overrated again.

Give it a rest. The guy is good, considering the receivers he has to throw to.

It's not his fault that Bryant kicks one of the longest field goals in history of the game.

McNabb was playing better than any other NFL QB and just had a bad game today. He's set the top 2 passing yardage records against the Cowboys, at some point you should think about what the Cowboys would be like with a QB as good as he is -- instead of Bledsoe.

Seriously, I mean, how can someone put this loss at his feet? He only threw 2 pick sixes! The Philly defense should have stepped up and stopped those other scoring drives! I mean, he came back against one of the best defenses in the NFL right?

I agree . . .

Get off McNabbs back.

Didn't you guys hear? The announcer said he "has the city of Philadelphia" on his shoulders!

Also . . . not too many other quarterbacks could make those clutch touchdown passes to . . . uh . . . Ronde Barber.

McNabb is totally awesome!

Meanwhile, what has he done the rest of the year?

You guys are silly. He has a bad game and now he's being exposed as overrated.

Nevermind the great games he's had with virtually a college receiving corp and the FOUR NFC Championship games he's led his team to.

Please let me in on the Haterade stock. I want in too. ;)

Like TOTALLY . . .

I mean . . . he was able to throw a lot of interceptions in those games as well!

McNabb RULES!

He's absolutely dominated top 10 defenses (Houston, 49ers, Green Bay, Tampa Bay)! He is the BEST!!!!

McNubb will go down with Bartkowski, Grogan, Pastorini and Theisman as an above average, servicable yoeman..........nothing more or less.
He gets a pass and is a media darling largely because he's African American and you dare not critisize him. The only bad-mouthing allowed is from Eagle fans (see Rush Limbaugh). He has had the torch as the next African American to prove the "white QB wrong" thing that has been around in PC sports circles for decades (see Bryant Gumbal). The national media is scared to death to point out his failings and flaws for fear of being branded "racist". He's got this "cuddly" persona due to the soup/mommy commercials.
His M.O. is that he's never learned NOT to put the team on his shoulders. He's always had "happy feet" and gets rattled quickly in the pocket. He makes his share of poor reads and decisions and is not emotionally disciplined. He's either joking around too much or pounts too much. He has more than a little "me, me, me/glory" in his psyche', and is stuck on the "my team" crap that usually leads to NO CHAMPIONSHIPS! He's got some numbers because of the "west coast offense" lie that has somehow still permeated, failure after failure. That's why the Eagles picked up Timmy Chang from Hawaii in F.A.............the No. 1 alltime college QB who never got drafted.
McNubbs mediocrity coupled with the Eagle curse can lead to nothing approaching championships. His best years (and shots) are behind him. He'll flounder around in Philly for a couple more years until the boo-birds drive him and Reid out. He'll end up playing his career out in Oakland or St. Louis or Miami, and won't be mentioned in the Top-25 QB's of all time. Not a Hall of Famer. And I'll be content with that ending....................

Who said he's the best?

You like straw man arguments don't you?

McNabb is good. A three INT day isn't going to change that and neither is your carping about him being overrated.
