Two part question.

On a players first offense isn't it kept quiet and the player sent to rehab behind closed doors and only on their second offense they serve a suspension?

We all know he's on Roids my second question is this. Should the sacks he gets while his appeal for the suspension is underway count if the suspension is upheld? I know you can't go back and erase them so to speak but you can keep them out of the record books. In other words should the 3 sacks he had yesterday and any he may get this week count towards his season/career total if he does get suspended?

I don't think they should count but hey thats just my opinion.... Whats yours?

Not sure-but, we need to get Ware some of the stuff that boy is taking.

Heard his arms exploded after the game.....he is awesome!

I still like Ware!

1. Roids are handled different than other drugs.

2. If the erased his stats they'd have to go back and erase a ton of others like Gastenieu (sp?)

Ware does not need the stuff. After all Ware will be playing in the next 4 games Merriman can't say the same. :laugh2:

Roids are a suspension on the first test. Not like recreational drugs.

The problem is the appeals process. Once a player appeals, the appeal should be heard and ruled on before the next game. Its ridiculous that a known cheater gets to play 2 or 3 more games before he serves his suspension.

It could hurt SD in the end. If he does not appeal he only misses 1 game aginst the division rival Broncos but if he does appeal he will end up missing both. I have a feeling SD will get him to drop the appeal

I don't think there is any situation where a player's stats aren't going to count. Ever.

No Need! Just have Ware singled up with a RB or a TE and you'll have the same result.

#1. no, the first offense for banned substance is 4 games.

#2. No way, J. Peppers still keeps all his sacks and he went through the same 4 game suspension Shawne is about to do. Shawne did not take "steriods" and that is the most important thing here. He tested positive for a "banned supstance" called Nandrolone (sp?) that was in a supplement that he has been taken for a while.

It is kind of strange that any appeal to a suspension isn't handle almost immediately. Just about eveyone has access to high tech gadgets that provide instant communication. Baseball is very bad about dragging out the appeals process. In Merriman's case, two weeks doesn't seem so bad, but I am surprised it took more than one week.

He didn't? I thought they determined that it was definitely steroids.

no, thats false. I know what you read on the ESPN ticker and in the papers...ect, but no he DID NOT TAKE STAROIDS!!! As a Dallas fan we should all understand how things can be "mis-reported" to the public.

Nandrolone also needs to be administered with intramuscular injections since it is not orally active.
