I get the feeling Dallas is afraid to give McFadden too many carries fearing he may get hurt.

I agree with you..

but there comes a point were you can't protect him and he has to play and contribute.

If not then move on.

I want to see him succeed but he can't do it from the hot tub.

If we don't there's nothing to prevent former D coordinator Ryan from duplicating Atlantas assault on the short stuff.

He will do exactly that. They are going to rush and blitz and allow us the short underneath stuff. I'm just worried that due to the public and front office outcry to " open up" the offense that we try to force things

Butler is no more than fools gold imo, he has speed but not much else, reminds me of another Jason Tucker/Chris Brazzell/Randal Williams type. Hope i'm wrong but those are my impressions thus far...

Thus far? They have not thrown the ball to him yet. How could he disappoint without getting a chance to catch the ball? He was definitely open several times in the Atlanta game. Also, his on field speed seems to match his timed speed which is often not the case with some players with great forty times.

Agree. Take your shots when they are there, otherwise throw the ball away if the short game won't yield a first down, or put us in a manageable situation to pick one up.
