Jerry should sign a Irvin to a 2 week contract if Cowboys make the Super Bowl. Just to have him fire up the boys on the sideline during the game.

I dunno, TBH much of it was the 90's stuff. But then I see some of the same old allegations within the past few years. (Drugs, women). I do understand that accusations don't necessarily equal guilt. But when it's consistent with past patterns it seems easier to believe

Also one time I saw him at soldier Field when they were there for TNF Cowboys/Bears. After the pregame show he was being hustled through the crowd from the stage. Tons of diehard Cowboys fans (including kids) begging for handshake, quick picture, etc. He ignored them all and his entourage shoved through the crowd like a plow.

But then some stacked chick walked up and called his name and he immediately stopped, hugged her, posed for pictures, etc.

Then continued on and ignored everyone else.

Now admittedly this chick was attractive. So I get that. And I can even see him brushing past grown men, to some extent, if he was rushed. But kids?

Had no time for kids in Cowboys jerseys, but tons of time for some pin up model.

It kind of disappointed me tbh. Not trying to be judgmental. Just relating a personal experience that left me less than impressed.

Again, unbelievable football player. Have nothing but respect and awe for Michael Irvin the player

But as a person, I think he left ( and continues to leave) a lot of meat on the bone, as they say

Not trying to offend you, hope it doesn't appear that way.

    Not at all.

I painted my sig of Emmitt, breaking through a wall of steel, in the off season before they beat the Steelers in the SB..... I spent roughly 50 to 60 hours painting it with an airbrush. I drove 3 hours to New Jersey, paid $90 and stood in line for a few hours, waiting to give it to Emmitt for his autograph.

I finally got to his table, he signed it, without even really looking at it, and refused to shake my hand when I asked.

We sometimes expect too much from celebrities. It doesn't mean they're bad people, just that they go about their daily lives with a different purpose than we were hoping for.

    That's fair.

I will concede that I have no idea what it's like to be famous. Nor will I ever, most likely

How about if I change "prick/scumbag" to "kind of a jerk"?

And your painting is nice. You did an awesome job

Thanks brother, but you already knew I painted it. I was just illustrating (no pun intended) the difference between my life and his, right up to and including the minute we met. ;)

I always felt Deion Sanders ratted on Irvin prior to that suspension. He wanted to be the #1 WR while playing both offense and defense.
