These are the kind of games that often go entirely differently than expected.

Or in this case, not.

I wanna believe that with everyone ruling us out - including Cowboys fans - that we'll pull the upset.

And then I think about Weeden's 0-13 record as a starter. :(

Weeden pulling out a victory against the Patriots would be the biggest miracle since a man walked on water and rose from the grave. :D

My guess is that people taking the Pats on the money line (not laying points but picking NE) will have to bet $400 or $500 to win $100.

so what would we really want in next year's draft, a top RB or QB? I mean how long do we put off future QB when our QB is 35 and not getting any younger?

edit: I know this could be its own thread, but since we are talking about need for a top #1 RB.

Teams stacked the box last season even when then knew Dallas was gonna run. Didn't matter. The offensive line was dominant and so far this year they've been mediocre at best in run blocking.

Teams played the pass, then we had success running the ball. When they started playing the run we had less success there, but Romo lit teams up down the stretch.

The point still stands is there was plenty of times teams were up against the line and still couldn't stop the run even when Dez wasn't double coveraged. The offensive line simply isn't playing at the same level as a season ago.

Former Dallas Cowboy Michael Irvin spoke to G Bag Nation on 105.3 KRLD The Fan on Monday. Some highlights:

-- Irvin said the Cowboys' offensive line was not the problem in Sunday's loss at New Orleans. "I'm putting it on this running back by committee stuff we're doing. That's just what it is."

-- Irvin on if Cowboys can beat the Patriots: "It would be a tough win if everybody was healthy. I wouldn't even call it a possibility."

-- Irvin: Cowboys' beating Pats "would be one of them real Hail Marys. The only way has to be with Jesus at the goal line."

New England is a 7-point favorite to beat Dallas at AT&T Stadium on Sunday.

Weeden has lost his last 10 starts and he's going up against the Super Bowl champs and Tom Brady. Not a good game to risk any money on, IMO.

Jesus will have nothing to do with the massacre that is going to happen Sunday.

Ivin half got me thinking about the spiritual side of football. There is a lot of spirituality in football. Just look at the joy it bring to the masses and just look at all the good it do on sundays. it bring familys together. despite our differences, we fans are united on sundays. Yes, i would say that jesus would approve of us halfing a good time and hoisting a cold one at have time.
