except he was'nt on the roster. he was on the ps, which is where he will be if any other team signs him. he is worth developing. he was a great college player but he is not ready for the nfl in my opinion. that does'nt mean he can't develope into a decent player

I'm sure with Lawrence returning, the team feels comfortable with their DE situation. it's likely Sam was just signed as a worst case, none of our DEs are getting a rush and we need help type scenario . Obviously our d is strong enough now to continue waiting for Lawrence.

practice squad is a roster, I didn't say 53 active roster....couldn't care less what he did in college, the NFL is about measureable's, he doesn't have any...neither did Tebow or Vince Young, etc,. etc ....he isn't going to develop speed no matter how long he's on a PS roster..
