Michael Sam waived

I'm glad to be back, looking forward to watching the games again. Thanks, Drudge. Addition by subtraction, the Dallas Cowboys are only about football, again!

That's all it was. The way it all went down is all the proof you need. Then they never speak his name again for the next 5-6 weeks, let the hype die down, and release him. No doubt that was the plan all along. They never liked him as a fit in their D, even when they signed him. They signed him for some other purpose altogether which I contend was the league allowing Brent to workout at the team facility while being suspended.
This is all true. We know it because (a) Jerry and the coaches are constantly talking about guys on the practice squad, but not Sam! and (b) it's incredibly rare for teams to sign guys to the practice squad only to cut them a few weeks later. Clearly it was all a big conspiracy.

The Rams may take him back they expected to have a fierce pass rush when they let him go and it hasn't happened.

I have a heart for all the "tweeners" - the PS guys who bounce around hoping to finally hit on their lifelong dream. Most don't make it. I have a friend who spent two years on the Saints PS until Payton called him in and said keep up with the post graduate schooling good luck

I'm glad we game him a chance, but clearly the coaches think our other players are better and we needed to add a linebacker. One never knows with the Cowboys; he could return with the way we churn the bottom of the roster. If not, I wish him luck and hope he lands on his feet.

Still think this kid can play. All of this " league favor" stuff is a bunch of BS.

He can probably play but i'm buying into the league favor thing.

I don't think any team takes on the circus that people thought would potentially come with a fringe player.

We got dismissed for "tampering" and sign Michael Sam around the same time.. hmmmm

I guess he couldn't adjust the to scheme. Good to see the Cowboys value personnel that fits over publicity

One could easily argue that we are letting future talent go but, given the current state of the team and the real potential of getting studs back (Brent, Lawrence), one cannot second guess our FO. They are batting 1000 right now..

That said, I fully expect us to keep our options open regarding Sam and/or for another NFL team with more immediate needs to claim him.

Carry on with the silliness.
