Michael Vick-QB- Eagles Mar. 15 - 4:29 pm et

Two NFL evaluators believe that Michael Vick's trade market has been slow to develop because his skills have eroded.

"He can’t throw," said one NFL scout after watching 2009 film of Vick. "A guy could be open 20 yards downfield and he’ll throw it 25. He never could throw, but he was fast before. It’s not like he’s slow now but he doesn’t stick out like, ‘Wow, this guy is faster than everybody.’" One personnel director indicated that Vick "is no longer a special athletic talent."

Even if he had the same speed and quickness he had before he went to prison he would still not be a valuable commodity. It is a passing league and after joining the NFL in 2001 Vick has still not become a solid passer. His running abilities can do some great things, but not enough to overcome his passing deficiencies.

The only teams that will be interested will be teams that don't mind totally re-vamping their offensive system. I doubt there are that many teams willing to do that.

The top passing teams were in the Superbowl this year. The top running teams worked to improve their passing games. The Vikes tried it short term by getting Favre. The Jets tried it by drafting Sanchez and hoping he develops over time. They know they have the run and hope their passing gets above average.

Vick is not an above average passer and will not improve a teams passing game. He could be even faster and quicker now and it would not matter.

Maybe Andy Reid will call off the dogs and decide keep him another year.

These evaluators are just releasing the hounds on this guy.

That piece of crap.

That culture just doesn't know the value of a dog. They can't understand it. They aren't meat.

Savages. Dogs are a Man's best friend.

You're not a terrible person. You're simply smiling at the misfortune of a deserving terrible person. You're good. :D

I don't think it's fair everybody being too ruff on Vick. He's served his time in the pound and is back in the league, sure he had his tail between his legs for a whileand been on a short leash, but with a year of football under his collar I'm sure he will bounce back and fetch a starting role soon. You guys need to chill on the canine references though. That's just childish.
