The bashing of the defense is getting out of control. I will admit that I am very worried about the defense but let these guys go out and play before we call them the worst defense in the history of the world.

They are for sure a top tier team. But we beat them in Frisco a couple of years ago. And I would argue their defense was better then. Of course our defense was better then. But I like our chances because we are at home. And we have had all offseason to prepare for them. And I don't really think this is a team that will try to trick you much. They will methodically try to beat us up. But again...that is nothing new for them...that is what they try to do to everybody. Gore and that OL have more wear and tear on them now..than they did back then...so do you think that will help our cause?

The Cowboys beat them 3 years ago in week 2 before SF had established themselves as a good team. By the end of the 2011 season SF was a much better team than the one the Cowboys beat in week 2. I doubt anyone would have predicted after that game that SF would end up with 13 wins while the Cowboys would end up with only 8 wins. Right now I'm not so sure SF is still a top tier team with all the changes to their defense. With 7 new players on their defense and all the distractions they've had to deal with they may be headed for a down season. The Cowboys couldn't be catching them at a better time.

You'd never know it based on how he insists on everything already being the best it could possibly be. You can see it under the surface though. He'll never say he expects the team to be bad, but he knows what's up.

True. His second favorite expression is: "Well, we'll find out, won't we?"

The Dallas Cowboys are going show everyone what they are all about. They might lose or they could win. However, I will not count them out, yet.

I'm with you, some are already planning '15 and probably have their "I told you so" rant in the event we lose Sunday.

I expect to lose to SF because despite their offseason troubles they are still a better team than us.

The real ranting will start if we drop games to Tenn and/or St. Louis, neither of whom has much of a QB on the roster.

Just finished watching Talking Cowboys and MIckey, Broaddus, and Cahill all picked SF to win. Only Sidney picked Dallas.

You know its bad when Mr. Sunshine is picking the team to lose......................LOL

Who cares what that Mickey thinks. To be so close to the team and have all that access to film he really doesn't know the game. Sidney knows just as much about football as he does. The Cowboys will win this game no doubt.

He's way overrated. So is the QB in Seattle. Romo is twice the QB those guys are. They just have a vastly superior supporting cast.

The only way Kaepernick is a real difference maker in a game is with his legs. As an in the pocket QB, he's not fit to hand Romo his helmet.

No doubt Kap isn't even 1/2 the passer Romo is but he is better than Alex Smith.

Really? I really doubt she knows anything about the 80s/90s Cowboys teams that Mickey covered during that time on a daily basis. Much less the 2000s teams.

When your previous claim to fame is being the worst defense in franchise history, then yeah - you're going to have a lot of doubters.

Question.... Would you trade Romo for Kap or Wilson straight up right now? Think about age and salary...

All on both shows depressed me picking SF. Not saying they shouldn't if that's how they feel. But I feel we have better than 50% chance of beating them. Apparently they aren't giving us a chance. :-(

The only out right advantage I feel they have is their receivers vs our secondary. As long as we've had The Romo we've held our own against some of the best. Only difference we're younger & faster on D. I'm going to support this D because they're just getting started and I expect them to get better as the season progresses.

I think Cowboys can and will win the game, however it is a game that if they lose they will catch hell and if they win we will get to hear how SF has players missing. lol
What a shame. It's hard being a Cowboy. Could be worse. .. a Deadskin.

...and I like that expression. It's fundamentally true. What is not true is these people who: already know who's going to win the division, who's going to the SB, who's going to be the rookie of the year, the coach of the year, etc, etc.

Wilson yes, Kap no. Having said that, I don't think neither would be able to do what we asked Romo to do past few season and be as successful. What makes both of these guys effective is running game and play action passing.
Two thing we don't do much of.
