What I've found in the past it that when you try to install a new OS, you have lot's of problems. If it's pre-installed, then it runs a lot smoother.

I can't say that is the problem as I have not had a chance to use vista but that might be something for others to consider...instead of upgrading on an existing OS just do a clean install.

I think it was Vista's fault.

Every time someone in the draft ran out of time on the draft clock the draft application locked up.... I was so pissed off. Not because I hate PCs (love my laptop) but I need a good workstation for video editing and I wanted to give Final Cut Pro a shot. And FCP is Mac-only.
But, it works great.
When I worked at CompUSA there was a decent markup for the IPod, my 80gig cost me around $306 as opposed to the normal price of $349. I would assume Apple stores would have the same markup as well.k19;1627121 said:So do I. Its just the 3000 bucks or so holding me back. I took my mother by the Apple store here in Albuquerque the other day after lunch and she was ready to drop the 3000.......for her of course.
Problem was no one wanted to sell her one. I guess the markup on Ipods is better than on the 17" macbook pro's
