Anyone watch Mike (ex philly football player) just completely blast Tiki calling him a hypocrite for calling the media "idiots" for not coming to him to get the story of his retirement and calling him a quitter. Then now him criticizing the coaching staff and their gameplan without talking to them first. He was furious and said he doesnt want to hear anything from Tiki anymore and the rest of the Giants players for that matter. it was awesome!!!

Tiki is beating that team up from the inside.

Injuries, Eli playing like a middle schooler (reading level is around 7th grade too), then Plax/Shockey being on the field quitters, now Tiki wearing them.

Though, it's things like this that gets them prime to play us.

Someone ask Shockey about his "We can beat anyone" and pointing out the Dallas game. I would like to hear his answer after yesterdays game. If it weren't for the (2) turnovers that lead to 14 of their 21 ponts it would have been a complete blowout 24-7.

LOSER!

As for Tiki, lets his emotions take control. He should learn to control them better when off the field.

As for Eli. He wasn't ready to play in this league. They are going to ruin him if they don't watch out. He has the tools and the smarts, he just wasn't mature enough yet. It's a shame. If he could have followed the path that Romo took (sitting on the bench) then I bet he would be great. I think he is on the verge of being ruined though. Playing in NY is bad enough pressure wise, but then playing him before he is ready in NY is like taking a cyanide pill for your NFL career. He should have shutup and played in San Diego. Beautiful place, with incredible weather and he would have had LT to ease the pressure of playing QB.

All the while Michael Irvin is laughing at everyone who criticized him.

Bet he doesn't look so stupid now, as some people called him.

But Eli didn't want to pway for the Chargers, he and his daddy wanted him to pway for the gints. So he gets what he deserves in my book.

At the time the Chargers still looked like a bad organization; its only clear NOW that they had turned the corner. Archie still has nightmares about playing all those years for the aints= he did not want his son playing for another bad franchise- which at that time the Chargers looked like Detroit does now. there were promising signs they were coming out of it but it still did not look good.

Yeah, I heard that also as I was driving my daughter to school.

Another thing I kept hearing was how the Giants have to win next week in order to have a chance.

He may be correct, but it sure sounded to me that he is cheering for the Giants to win. It was like, if he said it enough, it will eventually happen.

He will probably say that several times in each show throughout the week.

Exactly... Manning, Inc. is getting what it deserves...

Yes, the trade that the Giants made to get Eli definitely helped the Chargers. The Giants mortgaged their future, and the Chargers appears to have benefitted greatly.

I don't buy that at all. The media loves to create stories where there are none, and I think the Tiki Barber "distraction" is just another one of those fabrications. Eli Manning doesn't throw interceptions because he's worried about Tiki retiring. Plaxico Burress doesn't play half-assed because he is distracted by Tiki's comments about not getting enough carries.

I am with you on this one. Archie Manning was a potential HOF player who was stuck on one of the worst teams in the NFL. People love to villify both Archie and Eli for what went down before that draft, but can you really blame a father for doing everything he can to prevent his son from having to go through what he did? If Elway doesn't do the same thing with the Colts, maybe he goes down in history as just another Archie Manning or Ken Anderson.

Playing in the NFL is a privilege, and along with that privilege goes the fact that you play for the team that drafted you.

I hate it when players attempt to manipulate the rules for their own benefit. Free Agency exists for the simple fact it gives a player a chance to play for the organization of his choice provided he isn't franchised. Do it the right way or go play in the CFL.

You would think they would have learned their lesson as Peyton went to a 3-13 Indy team that had been poor for a while and now they are a powerhouse. You can't judge the long-term viability of a team in this day of FA.

I've always disliked Elway for doing the same thing, and Bosworth as well.

Eli is lucky that Al Davis didn't get a hold of him or he would be getting the same treatment that Jerry Porter is getting.

Long live the "Manning Curse"...

I think that the distraction thing is strange, too, and a little bit far-fetched.

What's their record since Tiki's "announcement"?

But would't his dad think Eli would be a large piece of the puzzle in turning an org around? It's not like the Chargers are the Cardinals.
