Anybody catch Mike and MIKE this morning? Golic was breaking down Philly and when asked if Philly was better then the rest in the East, he actually said that he did not think they were better then the Cowboys. Said he thought the Cowboys would win the division and the Eagles would be a wild card. Color me Shocked on that one. I was pretty surprised about that.

I heard part of it this morning on the way to work, but not that. Yeah, that's a bit shocking, but he's not a complete Eagles homer, just admits he can't stand Dallas. He's an honest guy though.

I bumped into them at the NFL Draft last year on Day 2. Very nice guys.

I heard it and it surprised me a bit too.

During the 5 questions segment, Golic didn't seem to answer any - as if he didn't know what to expect.

They asked about McNabb's health - he didn't know.

They asked about Brian Westbrook - he didn't know.

They asked about the defense getting better against the run - he didn't know. (I do, they're worse, not better)

And they combined the question about the Eagles being the class of the NFC East and they merged that into their predictions for their record.

Golic went 10-6 and Greeney went 9-7.

He said something about 9-7 for the Eagles. Everyone hates on Golic, I've always found both Mikes pretty level headed. (Well, Greenberg says some dumb things, but he admits to being bias towards the Jets)

Golic said something about not knowing if McNabb could stay healthy and while Westbrook is so good, didn't think he could do more because he was already doing so much.

Wow-glad to hear he's NOT part of that Philly-media PR hype. For months, we've been hearing how McNabb was making a *quick* recovery from his injury, how Trotter slimmed down, looked faster and quicker, and was poised to have a Pro Bowl year, how Jeremy Bloom was poised to be their first star KR in their history, how this team had *depth* at ALL positions, blah, blah, blah.

And we ALL know how the last 3 above were *lies*.

That person would be Goose Gosselin. He was gushing all over the Eagles again today on the ticket with Norm.
I can't wait for the Iggles to fall flat.

I don't mind most analysts when you know where they're coming from. They can be a homer, that's fine as long as they admit up front where they are coming from.

I even enjoy listening to the opponent's announcing team do Cowboys games.

What I can't stand is when someone is a blatant homer but doesn't admit it, cloaking their bias with clouded statements.

They both predicted that Dallas would win the division with an 11-5 record. Philly would be 2nd at 10-6(Golic) 9-7(Greeny). Then they split on the Giants and Commanders in 3rd & 4th.

It shocked me to hear Golic, of all people, pick the Cowboys over his former team.

That's weird, cause just last week he was saying Philly would win the division.
