I'm not surprised at the quality of that first video. I've seen Mike play a lot live and I would definitely compare him to Newman. He may go a couple games without a pick but that's because he was rarely tested. Trae Williams was the busier corner of the two.

He reminds me a lot of TNew as well and I would describe TNew as not overly instinctive. To me it means you won't see a ton of picks but he can cover guys, especially in man to man schemes where he is athletic and big enough to win those battles.

I actually think Jenkins goes off the board before we pick. I'd rank him second behind DRC's amazing upside but he may be the best week 1 CB. He is a slightly more athletic version of Antoine Cason(who is probably the second best week 1 CB). I don't think we'd get a CB this good at 22 any other year but this one.

Cason did have a better vert, broad, and shuttle time than Jenkins. And he had the same 20 yard split. Really, the only place Jenkins has him beat is long speed, but Cason's 4.45 says he's more than adequate there. If you look at Cason's college production compared to Jenkins's (with Cason against better competition), the choice between the two seems like a no-brainer to me.

I'm telling you, Cason was left off that whiteboard that got filmed for a very good reason. ;)

His bio contradicts itself
Has very good size and bulk with long arms
Might be a bit of a CB / S 'tweener

Smooth with fluid hips and nice change of direction
Footwork and technique are shaky

Breaks on the ball quickly
Lacks superb ball skills and awareness..

Natural cover skills
Not overly instinctive...Pretty inconsistent

huh?

I would say about half the bios I read are this way. Their strengths are their weaknesses and their weaknesses are their strengths. LOL!! It makes no sense.

Well highlight packages by their nature can really skew a player's abilities unrealistically. Anyway, I don't think we will go that direction if we sign the Pacman...I can see an exception with DRC on the board but he won't be.

Unfortunately thats all we have though.

I on the other hand watched several South Florida games this past year when they were in the National title picture and both of their corners really stood out.

Especially Jenkins.

Plus he has been working with some professional corners in the offseason.

I'll be shocked if he isn't starting in someones secondary for many years.

I lot of Draft Pubs have him as the top CB and I know Mayock likes him.
