Wow! This guy is rising faster than gas. His rankings are:
1.Flowers
2.McKelvin
3.Talib
4.Jenkins
5.Cromartie

This is actually great news for us because that would push one of the elite corners down to us with either the #22 or #28.

All the draft guru's will be adjusting their rankings after the scouting combine and team pro days. Once we get into April, I'll start taking some of them a little more seriously. Until then, everything is still pretty fluid.

He said if he runs anything under a 4.55 he would take him in the top 10. Then he says it doesn't matter what he runs his intangibles still make him a top pick.

Todd Mcshay has him ranked as the #12 player overall.

I like Flowers a lot but IMO that's a little too high but they are the experts.

Brandon Flowers shouldn't be drafted in the top 2 rounds, much less the top 10 draft picks.

I think you're being a little overdramatic

he's a solid, 2nd round prospect right now

Well, how many corners are better than he is than?
Cason, Jenkins, Talib, DRC, McKelvin, Terrell Thomas, Chevis Jackson, Tracy Porter.

I guess you could see 9 or 10 corners taken in the first two rounds. But I doubt it.

I can see as many as 6 corners going in round 2

Terrell Thomas? hahaha, that dude looked like a spare during Senior Bowl week

They are? And I always thought the experts were the guys that actually scout for the nfl.

If Flowers allows Jenkins, McKelvin or Talib to be available when we pick, then he is the greatest corner EVER.

Im really not a fan of Talib. I think the other two would be good pickups but Im just not on the Talib wagon.

In 2007 6 CB's were taken in Rounds 1 and 2 which was down drastically from prior years.

2006-9
2005-13

With the depth and talent of this years class compared to the 2007 and 2006 class it's very likely as many as 10-13 corners could be taken in the first 2 rounds and Flowers is with out a doubt in the top 13 corners.

As far as Mayocks rankings, he is not the only "expert" that has him rated that high.

Russ Lande for the previous three years, was a college scout for the Cleveland Browns; covering the mid-west region while evaluating all eligible prospects for the NFL Draft. He also covered all-star games, the NFL Combine and pro days. He ranks Flowers 3rd among CB's behind Jenkins and McKelvin.

Frantzy Jourdain who worked 6 years as a talent scout for the Patriots and now works as a independant scout ranks Flowers 2nd behind Jenkins.

Gary Horton is a fromer Cleveland Browns scout and not assists for TSN ranks Flowers 4th among CB's.

Speed and quickness are so important for CBs; as well as very limber hips. After that its all in the head. I think that the evaluations made right after the college season are more straightforward; now people start to factor in pro days and the combine and lose sight of the fact that game film tells more of the tale then all the others.

I am a big VA Tech fan and when I watch his play.......Flowers is confident, cocky, and hits hard.......I admit to beling surprised that he is an overall #1 corner but not by a whole lot......he is TOUGH
