I watched the game again, and boy did Mike Minter get owned all night long. He seemed a half step late every single play

I said all last week that Mike Minter, who is a GREAT guy, was an older version of 31. He will lay a big hit on you, but it is usually down the field about 20 yards after somoene has made a big play on him. I think, and it has been mentioned here in Charlotte, that this could very well be his last year. He has never been able to cover, but now he is a major liability. With Minter and Shawn Williams back at safety it looks like they could have one of the worst safety combo's in the league.

I heard pretty much the same thing mentioned on WFNZ (local sport radio) the other morning. Minter has been a great guy here in Charlotte, but if he is here beyond this season, I would be surprised. They really miss a couple of the FAs they let go this offseason (Marlon McCree, Ricky Manning Jr, and Will Witherspoon).

They totally whiffed, if that is a word, on signing Morgan instead of Whitherspoon. Now, with Morgan out AGAIN, they have neither. To me, Whitherspoon was the only backer they had that could cover the TE. I think every team they have played this year has worked the TE. Also, their offense is averaging 5 points in the 2nd half this year.

Morgan is maybe a top 5 MLB in the league. I think they were right to sign him, hes better than witherspoon.

When he is healthy, yeah, he is up there. The problem with him is that HE IS NEVER HEALTHY. He is pretty much done for the year (I think they recently put him on IR) with another concussion that he got in the first half of the first game this season. He has a history of repeated concussions.

This guy gets a concussion when he sneezes. He won't make it through next season, if he even gets to play then.

Witherspoon, while not the same talent level as Morgan, would have been a better deal, since he can actually stay on the field for more than 1 play a year.
