Mike Tirico of ESPN already has us in the Super Bowl, but he says despite all our weapons on Offense, we will be 2 TD underdogs to the Patriots.

Same thing that S. Salisbury said. Sounds like ESPN has their puppets trained well.

Weren't the Iggles 22 point dogs the other night? Look how that turned out.

I don't bet -- what's the biggest underdog in Superbowl history? Bears-Pats? This would have to be up there.

ESPN Talking Points:
- Dallas is good, but not good enough for Patriots
- Bad Pass Interference call caused Dallas to win
- Dallas defense is weak if Aaron Rodgers picked them apart

Wow, already marginalizing the victory. It never fails each week.

I absolutely hate this type of talk right now. So much can happen between now and then. Neither team is guaranteed anything and the Pats have shown that they can be vunerable.

Tirico was quoting what Vegas odds-makers were telling him.

You're right, Neither the Patriots or Cowboys are guaranteed that they'll make the Super Bowl, no matter how good they're playing right now.

My wife joked last night that the Browns could be a team that would beat the Patriots in the playoffs. I told her that wasn't funny, but it would give me a reason to hate the Patriots, even when they lose.

Did y'all hear Rod Woodson on NFL Network? Quote "I saw nothing from Dallas that impressed me enough to believe they can beat New England." He went on to say that it was impossible for Dallas to out score the Patriots. I know there is a lot of football to be played between now and then, but for me, the Super Bowl can't get here fast enough. I pray Dallas gets another shot at this so-called "unbeatable" team.

This is all assuming that the Patriots make the Superbowl. They almost lost to the Colts w/out Marvin Harrison. What happens if he makes it back for the playoffs?

The Colts beat themselves in that game.
I personally would prefer to meet Pittsburgh in Glendale. I want Dallas to even its Super Bowl record against the Steelers at 2 -2. Plus, the Steelers became the first to win 3 SBs against Dallas in XIII. I want Dallas to be the first to win 6 against Pitt in XLII.
But, the more I hear about New England, the more a rematch against the Patriots begins to sound good. I should not pick on New England, it is ESPN and the other sports media that is making me sick with their never-ending Patriot butt kissing:banghead:

14 sounds about right. SB lines are always higher. We were 7 point favorites over GB last night; it stands to reason a NE-Dallas SB line would be signficantly larger than that.

And, yeah, for the record: I'd happily take the Boys and 14.

I love the Pats to lose in their 1st playoff game at home that would be the funniest thing ever:bounce:

there is a lot of football between now and a possible super bowl...neither of these teams could end up there...Dallas would be better off in the underdog role anyway IMO...Dallas needs to hope that NE goes undefeated and easily wins out...winning so easily tends to obscure your weaknesses...as Philadelphia showed them...i'll take Terry Glenn, a healthy secondary and the 14 points...

I already placed a bet on the Superbowl 3 weeks ago.

I got an early line of NFC +14.5

I will take that any day of the week :)

Cowboys aren't on the Patriots level until they stop missing tackles (a bunch last night that gave Pack big gains), and commit penalties that kill drives. I think there is no doubt we need Terry Glenn to give us that extra weapon on offense to match the firepower of the Patriots. If Glenn can come back and is somewhat effective, I think we can. I'm not too concerned with the defense. We have alot of young guys who are still improving. If Anthony Henry can get back to full health and Glenn returns, then I say we have the talent and depth to match the Patriots. Too early right now to say one way or the other.
