Did anyone hear Mike Tirico's comments at the end of the game ripping the stadium?

He stated that the large end-zone window will be a distraction to WRs during sunny day games, and the time clock is in a terrible spot for the players to see.
Not that I really care what he has to say, but everyone else is stating how great this new stadium is, but this ******* has to try to find and point out anything he could that was negative.

The clock IS in fact in a horrible place. They need to bring it down to grown level like most stadiums. I don't know anything nor have heard anything about the end zone glass doors.

Was he wrong though?...Sounds like the game clock issue might indeed be a legit complaint although I hadn't read anyone complaining about it before...It did sound, however, like he was 'looking' for things to be critical of but then again that's sort of classic Tirico...He has a propensity for unearthing the most inconsequential and irrelevant things...I've noticed this far too much during his NBA coverage

I'm a Piston fan and I'd have to correct you on that assumption...He's from Michigan but he's no homer...In most Piston circles, he's considered a hater

Well, is what he said true? I haven't been to the stadium, but you would think that they would have a play clock/time clock at a reasonable sight-line for players...

Could he be right about the windows?

Maybe, but if Romo knows exactly where it is and the opposing QB has to try to find it the whole game, it gives us an advantage, however slight.

I agree with him on the clock, and I don't see it as him "ripping" the stadium he was just pointing out some facts, which could cause some issues in the future. ya know you need to learn to take the positive with the negative, can't have one without the other. and oh btw everyone even Mike is saying how awesome the stadium is but EVERY single one has made comments about the jerrytron being to low, at least Mike found something that is relevant to bring out...

He actually prefaced the comments by saying that the stadium is in fact as fantastic / amazing as everyone says it is. Try listening a little more closely next time m'kay?

They were looking for reasons to rip the Cowboys and the Stadium

Well the hitting the score board during punts is not happening so they need to find something else. :laugh1:

As long as it is the opposing teams who are having issues with the windows and game clock. I could care less and hope it does bug them.

Exactly.

There's no reason to bring up issues to the stadium at almost midnight when most of the viewers have stopped watching...unless you had to get a dig in before the end of the broadcast.

Why not bring that up during Countdown? Why wouldn't the people that have played/coached the game at a pro-level (ie. Jaws and/or Gruden) bring up these items?

Again, the NFL approved everything before hand Tirico.

Well after last night I'd say he's a Cowboy hater in my circle. I may be a little hyper sensitive to this, but I believe I can spot an announcer willing/wishing ill will on the Cowboys during the telecast.

Just a little too much enthusiasm on his part when things didn't go our way. Of course he had to highlight our first sack and turnover forced of the season with a smart *** "it only took 9 quarters".

I thought he was going to have a **** fit, when they reversed the Choice TD yet failed to correctly set the down as 3rd.
Thought he was going to jump out of the booth to set the officials right.

I love as he blasted our stadium, Jaws and Gruden basically said he was nuts and the Stadium was awesome.

Don't you have work to do?

On a positive note, I did like Jaws and Gruden.

I heard that the stadium glass takes on a bluish tint when the sun is shining on it to reduce the impact on the players. Not saying it won't be an issue, but not as big as it was made out to be.
