TO had a pretty quiet game, but went about and did his job. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, but he had an incredible 3rd down catch on a slant where he showed incredible hand strength to snatch the ball away from the DB draped all over him. Then he cradled the ball as the DB tried to rip it out. I thought that was an incredible play.

Also, anyone else think Skyler Green is a WASTED draft pick? Miles Austin looked pretty darn good as the kick returner. He's got some speed and size. Maybe we should try him as a punt returner as well. Crayton is smart and dependable if not flashy.

I'd like to see us draft a speed receiver to groom as TG's replacement next year...but only after shoring up the the OL.

T.O. will impress me when he shuts his pie hole and starts acting like he's supposed to catch TD passes.

The guy goes ape chat when he scores. He should take a page from Parcells book and just go back to the huddle without saying anything.

But Me-O needs him some spotlight.

I do think that Romo will be the QB that T.O. finally bonds with. And Romo has the potential to be a positive influence on T.O.

If T.O. can keep his ego in check, we should be fine. But I'm not gonna praise him for making a catch that he should make every time. I expect that from the little prima donna.

I think that it is possible that there might not be much value in Skyler Green. To spend a 4th round pick on a player who is purely special teams doesn't seem like a wise decision, but he carried the label of "best return man" so The Tuna naturally felt OK drafting him.

I can't believe that as good as TO has been all season (on the field and off) that people are still criticizing him. Sheesh.

Another key plus is that T.O. did not have a case of the dropsies. I think he is settling in with the Cowboys and Parcells is actually rubbing off on him. If he celebrates whichever way without getting the team penalized I am all for it. I know this is a team sport but you can still be an individual personality wise.

So I guess you didnt like Irvin's little dance, Deion's high step, or Alvin Harpers Dunking....

Yeah didint think so.. Why hate on the guy when hes done nothing but improve a shoddy receiver core. You lose T.O. , you lose all hope of going deep in playoff run...

Don't know too much about Green but what I've read. Someone said predraft that his junior year he was amazing until he got hurt and wasn't the same his senior year. Hopefully it was one those injuries that takes longer to fully recover from. Maybe some LSU fans have more insight.

I will have to disagree with this statement. Now, if we lost BOTH starting WRs it would be much more difficult, but to say that without TO we have NO CHANCE of making a deep playoff run is... well, heresy!!! Hurd has shown he can play with the big boys, Crayton is very dependable, and the other young guys like Rector are not too shabby either. TO's dropped passes have already cost us one game, if not two. Did you see the catch Hurd made over the middle? TO does give us a better chance to win, but like the Eagles said, we could do it without him if need be. 'Nuff said...

no doubt, this guy was the worst pick we made this yr...

it was obvious during TC & preseason that he was a waste, and he still looked like a waste once he hit the field in those couple of regular season games he got in

oh well...win some, you lose some

I don't know if Green was a wasted pick or not, only time will tell. I do like what I'm seeing in Austin, he has a quick brust once he spots the lane. Hopefully he can keep it up.

The Eagles situation was different... McNabb is well... McNabb.. As much as I hate McFlabb and the Eagles...the guy did lead his team to NFC Championships 4 years in a row. To Compare Romo to him is as Bill says "Ludicrous"...

Hurd has shown he can do what? Make a couple of game catches and have a decent preseason????? SO did Wayne McGarrity. Rector has Steve Smith size with unproven ability.. Thats reassuring.. And the only thing I've seen from Austin is good size with... well thats it.. Size and 2-4 kickoff returns.

Again I think T.O will make or break the team in the deep playoff picture.. The Bears secondary is solid and the idea of coverage being shifted to both sides is appealing.. Just ask Tillman or Vasher if they have ever heard of Ausitin, Rector or Hurd.. They probably laugh.. Which means one thing double Terry every once in a awhile and watch Tony run for his life because no one is open, or watch him force balls to Crayton.

I liked Crayton hands against the Cards BUT..... ANTREL ROLLE AND ERIC GREEN are second year corners and dont scare anyone.. (although I like Rolle's potential)...

Again this team wont go deep without T.O and Terry Healthy....

skyler was a total waste.

Unfortunately I have to agree even though I liked the pick at that time. We could have picked Gostkowski and never had to fool with Vandy. Not to mention Gostkowski booms kickoffs.

I wonder where the boys had Devin Hester on the Board.. Im sure it was ahead of Green... Green was probably second on their board for returners... I didnt think that Hester wouldl go in second but be a chance in the 3rd and a sure 4th. The had all the talent in the world at the U , but no real position. A slower forty than expected at the combine might have hurt him. He was saying he was going to run 4.2's or 4.3's and i think he ran a high 4.4.. But if just watch the highlight real at the U , you know why the wanted him.. Just for returns. Green showed alot of Promise at LSU , but on tape at LSU he looks lightning quick.. Then again its only college not the NFL speed.

So if TO goes "ape chat" after touchdowns what did he do after the 50+ yarder in AZ? Not a damn thing. He high fived Hurd. You TO bashers really need to take off your TO hate glasses. This guy has been NOTHING but a competitor. He pumps up his players, he helps out rookie teammats. People like you and BSPN make him to be an *** when if you open your eyes you can see all he wants is to win.

I agree that the young receivers look promising. However, Rector is no longer on the team and they are definitely NOT going to replace TO. I think the TO effect is underestimated for two reasons. 1) There's a natural bias against him because he can be an annoying loud mouth and 2) he hasn't been super explosive as in years past. Nevertheless TO is bringing a lot of intangibles. What is difficult to gauge is how much effort the defense spends on containing TO, that in turn frees up other receivers.

In terms of being a loud mouth, TO seems to have settled down after the Washington game where he realized that his antics were no longer just fun, but actually cost the team a game. Maybe he is starting to get it. Time will tell. My might drop one here and there, but gosh does he really fight for the ball. I agree with the poster above. He is a super competitor.

To me Green for what ever reason does not look comfortable back there. I hope for his sake he can have a good off-season and challenge for the spot next season. I think if he can allow his natural ability to take over he can do the job but right now he looks unsure about what is going on.

As long as he is not drawing 15 yarders I have no issue, however unlike some I'm not going to sit here and give him a free pass when he does stupid things like his fan club does. I expect guys to be professional and if you can't do that I have no need for you.
