I was talking to my Son just the other day about this. I have no proof but I was telling him that I suspected Miles might be reading the tea leaves and shutting it down to save himself already. He may not be as injured as you think but who really knows?

Then it would be stupid on the Cowboys part because zero production helps no one, we cannot get value,, and no team will be willing to take on his salary.

He needs to be cut. He's a waste of space. Harris is better than him at this point.

Is this the word to sling around when one get's dramatic or has a panic attack?

Yeah, just release him, I mean if Williams goes down we have all the depth in the world. I mean look at Beasley he catches those quick out routes, like Wes. Hell he's better than Wes.

Harris Better than Austin? Man he's better than Dez at this point.

It makes no sense to rest Austin, and bring him back when need be. That's not what a smart coach or team would do.

Sounds like (to me) maybe a way to say he's been benched without causing a media distraction.

Get him healthy for the stretch run and possible playoffs. Then corner him into a Doug Free type salary reduction during the offseason so that he can be traded next year. Draft another WR next year to replace his spot on the depth chart and go with Bryant, Williams, Beasley, and Harris for the foreseeable future.

Benford isn't the answer. I do have a problem with all this dump Miles stuff only cause if we do, we are one injury away from Beasley starting.......and that would be a disaster.

If we do indeed dump Miles, we will have to add a WR this offseason, no way around it. There is also no reason for us to dump him right now cause our great attribute of having a depth of weapons all of a sudden goes away.

For now, Miles needs to stay and get healthy......next season, paycut or replace with another drafted WR ready to play.

I just don't think Beasley can handle the #3 full time at the moment, that drafted WR you mention will have to have the upside of playing all spots like Miles and TWill. We just can't give up our advantage of having multiple weapons by doing something stupid with Miles.

Actually, if we traded Miles, we would still have Harris who can play either Slot or Outside. Would not be a terrible situation unless we lost another WR as well.

I doubt it happens, but when I heard this I thought of Colts trade.

It's probably best for him and the team to shut him down. I believe in T Will and Bease.

Relying on Harris scares me because of his ST work. One injury and that depth is gone.

What is being said about Trent? He seems even more disinterested in Indy.
