I know very little about decamilles.

However, had this happened to Joe Six-Pack I could just see the months of rehab at home and not at work. And a lawsuit.

This guy has integrity and a committment to the team.

actually, if this had happened to Joe Six Pack, I could just see the months, maybe years, maybe decades of having to pay medical bills and the struggle to return to a job that probably wouldn't be there waiting for him.

Big day: Brace comes off for DeCamillis

The Cowboys special teams coach Joe DeCamillis walked onto the Alamodome field this afternoon without wearing a cumbersome neck brace for the first time since breaking his neck on that awful day in early May when the Cowboys' indoor facility toppled.

He said it's difficult and strenuous to keep his head up, but the wide smile on his was proof enough that he's pretty darn happy to be out of the brace. He'll be on the sidelines for the Cowboys' preseason opener on Thursday night at Oakland, taking no other precautions than just being careful he doesn't get bumped.

"I just know I won't be head-butting the players anymore," he said.
