Mincey penalty probably gave us the chance to win the game

Without that penalty it is 2nd and 3 and they probably get a first down in that situation. That would have given them one more play in the final 2 minutes and used 1 of our timeouts.

Would it not have been 3rd and 3 if he had not committed the penalty? It's possible we have a lot more time, if we stop them the next play.

It would have been 3rd and 1. The play was 2nd and 3. The Giants ran for 2 yards, and then Mincey committed his penalty. If there was no penalty, it's 3rd and 1, and we would have had 1 timeout left.

Mincey knew what he was doing. If Giants would of made the first down after the 3rd and whatever, that would of been the Cowboys final timeout.

Mincey basically gave the Giants with a new set of downs, made the Giants come closer to the end zone which meant less room for them to operate, and stopped the clock without burning a timeout.

Do you not understand how to read that? THERE WAS A PLAY RAN. They gained 2 yards. Do you see that? Three minus 2 is one. Two plus 1 is 3. That's 3rd (2+1) and 1 (3-2). The penalty turned it into a first down.

Here's the sequence.

1st and 10 - 7 Yard run
Timeout Called
2nd and 3 - 2 yard run
Timeout Called
Timeout Negated because there was a penalty giving the Giants a first down.

The play occur after the 2&3 after NY had a 2 yard gain setting up 3&1. That was a bad play by Mincey knowing the situation we was in.
