That was a really bone headed penalty for Mincey to take in the game, and something a rookie would do. In the end that penalty actually contributed to our win as it stopped the clock and Dallas who had called a time out were given it back. A few things had to happen in the end with the clock for us to pull this victory out. This doesn't get Mincey off the hook but it worked out for us in the end.

I agree. Mincey or any player can't afford to lose their cool. Be aggressive and physical but be smart as well. His stupid penalty could have cost us dearly. The only good, he knew it was his screw up

I think all the players look back and say... what the help just happened? Mistakes could've cost us the game. I'm expecting them to go about their business next game and understand that it's still a climb to get where we want in January. They will definitely tighten things up and concentrate on the initial goal at hand.

hind sight is 20/20, but it was stupid. shouldn't happen. it would have forced them to a long field goal and given us the ball in either good field position or a little sooner had they scored a field goal.

It was stupid yes....but it was HUGE for us to come back. Without it.....i'm not sure we have a shot to go down the field and the Giants probably go for it on 4th down as opposed to kicking the field goal with less time up there.

Whatever the new rule is about extracurricular activities at the pile is seems like it has swung to an extreme the other way. Carr's looked ticky tack, Mincey's did not look that bad, considering most players seem to have their helmets held on by velcro.

Good point on the Carr penalty. Worse than that happens in most games or at least it did in past years.

As a HC I would bench Mincey for a game

This game should never have been close in the first place.
Dallas dominated
17 points to NY on wild, almost surreal, turnovers kept it close.
A couple of penalties that converted possible Tds into FGs hurt us too.
And then there were the dropped passes.

I believe the phrase you are looking for is "the team was not mentally ready for a dog fight "
