Minnesota may be our divisional round opponent

Based on the way things are going, it looks like Minn will get the last playoff spot and play Seattle or Tampa Bay on the road in the wild card round.

Chances are, with AD playing the way he has been, Minnesota will likely advance and play us in the second round.

Although we beat them already and didn't have trouble moving the ball, we did have a bit of trouble scoring on their defense. We also gave up on defensive TD to them, and another defensive TD was called back due to a penalty.

Of the remaining teams, I think Minn. might give us the most trouble in the NFC because of their running attack (which is really the only way to slow down our offense).

Thoughts?

I am sort of hoping we play them actually. Or the Cardinals.

Okay, okay, I admit, I actually want to repay the Seahawks for last year.

I think that the Cowboys are a better team now than when they last played Minny, but Minny is better as well. Jackson has played better in recent weeks, and he can throw the ball. I would not take them lighly. I would also not rule out Tampa or Seattle at this point, as they can play well when it matters.

For me, I think it will be hard to compare a playoff game against them and the week 7 win we had.

In week 7, I felt from the get go (just like vs Rams) the team was very lackadaisical. There was no electricity, and I felt like they were just going through the motions.

It might have been the Vikings defense, I don't know but I have a feeling that if we were to play the Vikings again, we will have a much better offensive production.

And I believe that we are the only team in recent games to hold Peterson to less than 100 yards rushing. Even though, I feel like part of that was b/c they kind of gave up with the run for some reason.

But we will have to see if we actually do play them.

The way things are shaping up, it is real possibility that both Wild Card teams win in both conferences.

I could see the Cards/Minny beating Seattle and Tampa Bay beating the clueless Eli Manning and the Giants.

In the AFC, I could see Pittsburgh losing to the Browns and Jacksonville beating San Diego.

As far as the NFC, I don't have a preference as non of the teams, including Green Bay scares me.

Minny could be a problem as they have a pretty good defense and a strong ground game. Tevarus Jackson is playing alot better and I always felt that the Vikings should have kept running the ball when they played us.

In the playoffs especially, if you can eliminate stupid turnovers, the teams that can best control the LOS usually win. Minny's strong on both OL and DL. I think we're stronger, but I'd rather not see them in our first game.

I do agree that that's the way things are shaping up, especially if AZ can't beat SEA this week.

I think we will get the bye week and see who comes out of the wildcard weekend you have the 2 division winner with the worst records facing the 2 wildcard teams it would be anyones guess of who we would play.

Just out of curiosity, why are people saying they wouldn't want to play the Giants again? Are you making that statement out of boredom or fear of the Giants?

I would love to see the UDFA end the season of the #1 overall pick who whined and moaned his way to the Giants and to a city that can't stand him.

There's a bugaboo about beating a team 3 times in the same season.

I dont see Minnesota winning on the road in the playoffs at Tampa or Seattle...Minny is not a threat to throw on anyone, and both Seattle and Tampa have good defenses along with offenses that can throw the ball

and if they did somehow pull off a miracle and play us again, we'd kill them

honestly I dont see Minny making the playoffs anyway

honestly nobody worries me in the NFC, not even GB...unless we have a slew of injuries and/or turnovers nobody in the NFC is beating us this yr

I'd like to see us play the Seahawks as well. And while we're at it, I'd like the ball boy to dig out freshly polished k-ball for their first two field goals.

Payback, baby! j/k :D

Yup, I would rather not play anybody from our division,,, they always play way above themselves when they play the Cowboys.

I agree as long as the Cowboys play to their ability I think we can beat any team out there. Exciting thing about the playoffs it is 1 game and you win and move on or you are gone. No second chances. With that said I'll be nervous no matter who we play in the playoffs
