Well guys, I was hoping to stop back here after next weekend to hype up a Chargers/Cowboys superbowl and talk some friendly smack again. But as we all are now painfully aware, after two familiar choke jobs by our respective teams, that matchup is only happening in an alternate universe.

With that said, sorry for your loss yesterday. I guess both the Chargers and Cowboys learned that defense still wins championships and I'll be rooting for the Colts or Saints the rest of the way.

Also what's up with Favre? Anybody else wish this guy would take a short walk of a steep cliff and disappear forever?

Anyways be thankful your team isn't loaded with overrated bums who talk a big game but choke majorily when it matters most and at least Dallas has a defense. God I hate being a football fan sometimes.....

Don't feel bad - the Jets have the #1 rushing attack in football and they proved it yesterday.

We on the other hand can't even consistently get the ball into the hands of our best back.

That being said, I would be entirely more sick if the Cowboys lost to the Jets than the Vikings :lmao:

How about you guys take Norv Turner off our hands and make him your OC again?

Perhaps that will cure both our teams ills.....:D

At least the Chargers were competitive in their loss. The Cowboys shouldn't have even been on the field yesterday.

Our's wasn't.

At least your team showed up.

Our's didn't.

Oh. And we have talkers on this team, too. Brooking was talking about the Vikings score after the game and during the game, ran over to the Viking sideline to let the Vikes hear about the meaningless last score. That was his biggest contribution to the game: meaningless talk.

Both of our teams have good QBs, are on a good team, with plenty of talent around it to win. It just seems, for whatever reason, they both fail to get it done in the postseason.

Ahhh the joys of being an NFL fan, huh?

Yesterday was terrible for me cause obviously my favorite team got knocked out but then the other team I was rooting for, the Chargers because I'm a huge Phillip Rivers fan, also gets knocked out leaving me with no one in this thing that I really want to root heavily for.

NFL football sucks when it breaks your heart. lol

Yeah, I'll be rooting for both those teams too. As far as Brett Farve is concerned....not too upset at him as I am with the way we let him do his thing. He was well over due against us. We've busted his *** enough to last a long time.

I think that both of our main issues won't get resolved this off season. Hard to replace coaches that had respectable years and lead their team to the playoffs. Nowadays, being mediocre is apparently acceptable and buys you more time to prove that you're just a little better than average.

My older brother lives in Dallas and absoutely hates the Cowboys. I've even offered to come from Utah down to visit him and pay for both of us to go to a Cowboy game of his choice (if I could have got tickets)...and he says absoutely not!

He is a Charger fan...to the bone.

After the Cowboys lost, it wasn't 5 minutes until I got a text from him..."How bout them Cowboys"!

After the Chargers lost, I texted him back, "What goes around comes around, brother." I have not heard from him since. No text messages, and when I call his land line...all I get is his voice mail.

;)

All in all, both teams had a good season. I'm proud of what the Cowboys did accomplish...and I couldn't care less about the Chargers or any other team for that matter.

The only thing that bothers me now...is this forum, where the "realists" crawled out from under their rock where they hid for the past month!

It's to bad that there is no way to validate the real Cowboy fans from the trolls that come here pretending to be Cowboy fans. And to top that off...we have some real Cowboy fans that have jumped ship/or are freaking out, because this team did not live up to the expectations of their Madden game!

Oh, well... misery loves company, but sometimes misery just loves being miserable!

Norv shouldn't have went for the onside.

the Jets punt on 4th down if they're pinned deep in their own territory.

I've been to the one that matched up the 81 Cowboys and 81 Chargers. That was a classic SB.:D

Phillip Rivers shouldn't have thrown that pass.

I know Phil Simms was whining about it but it was a good move. A great onside kick. But no Charger could come down with it.

We showed up but we didn't take the Jets seriously. And from what I heard from people who were at the game, our big mouthed team was talking trash towards the Jets players during the pregame warmups and giving them extra motivation.

I honestly thought I was watching the 2006 playoff agaisnt the Pats on replay. It's really pathetic watching a loaded team with so much promise bow out in their first playoff game because they decide to simply show up for the game and not take the opponent seriously.
