What same line? The 2015 line was not the same as either 2014 or 2016.

And terrible QBs are still terrible, even with protection.
The only one different on the line last year was Collins, and please dont act like he was some scrub. The line was good last year

It was good, but it's a much better unit with Leary. Much better. Collins still has a long way to go.

Add in Zeke and it's better still.

"This just in, dink and dunk game manager who is always ahead, has the best run game and OL in the league, and never takes chances to the point where open receivers routinely streak downfield ignored -- doesn't make many mistakes."
"Coming up in the 8 o'clock segment: water is wet."

You act like dink and dunk is bad. Brady is known for doing that, and he is the greatest QB to ever play the game.

While other QBs are gunslingers/turnover prone QBs and have 2 wildcard playoff wins.

I don't believe you're this bitter, jaded, ignorant and miserable. I just refuse.

Ok so the line was the same and we're getting somewhere. Dak isn't "terrible".. progress I suppose... SMH....

I never said dink and dunk was bad. Brady has proven that he can play many different styles. When he had 50 TD passes and Randy Moss, he was not exactly the same as he is now. Admittedly the deep pass he used to do well has left him in recent times. But he's proven over the years he can make all of the throws.
Dak is just a dink and dunk guy. Despite having more time to throw than any QB in the league, he never lets the deep routes develop, he just checks it down. He's a game manager... that doesn't mean that a half dozen times per game when they need him to make a key throw or run that he doesn't deliver. That's what Alex Smith has been doing for years. Alex Smith is working on 6 years in a row averaging less than 6 interceptions per season, but still making just enough plays to keep his team going. It's not hard to avoid mistakes if you never take chances.

Dude you're reaching hard... so hard and it's sad. Give the man some credit. He's playing solid "clean" winning football and he's a rookie. Complimentary Dak thread and the most notorious resident HATERS swoop in like vultures in unison. Unbelievable.

You're exaggerating. You can't win without making some down the field "stick" throws and he made several Thursday. No mention of those? He's managing the game well and he's a rookie. Nobody in the history of this franchise has won 10 straight in a single season. If you're ONLY game is to dink and dunk the defense would collapse to the point of suffocation. Just go away. Far far away...

You keep comparing him to Alex Smith, the most yards Smith has ever thrown for is 3,486 and most td's he has ever thrown for is 23. Dak is on pace to beat those

I am reaching to say this is the best line in the league and they make his job much easier? It's reaching to suggest otherwise. I am not criticizing Dak.

Line still wasn't the same. Check the facts.

I never suggested Dak was terrible (except for specific stretches). I never suggested he wasn't good either.

No, it's not the same line, it's much better.

But is that because of Dak or inspite of Dak? This seems to be the "Did Emmitt play behind a great offensive line or did Emmitt make the offensive line great" debate.

Barring a crazy fluke Nick Foles season, yes, he is.

Fair enough. I'm not going to knock you for being cautious. I understand the enthusiasm fans - including myself - have with respect to Dak. I can also understand why fans (and, yes, I believe you're a fan of the Cowboys. I'm not going to reduce your opposition to some silly notion that you're not a true fan like some do) like yourself are a bit more cautious. I respect that.

I would say Dak is probably better as a rookie than Smith in his prime...however, Smith has never had a supporting cast close to this (offensively).

Wilson was strictly a game manager his rookie season, not so for Dak who's carried the team on his shoulders on several occasions this season. Wilson had the Legion of Boom while we have the Legion of Doom.
