I remember this game very well and re watched it again last night. I'll have to admit, I came away with a disgusted feeling and here's why:
1. The season started out in the worst way possible. After the Irvin arrest and suspension Barry had clearly lost the team.
2. The offense didn't manage a touchdown in what should have been a blowout. Why didn't we get Troy more weapons when Kevin Williams clearly wasn't the answer in 1995. I'm also sure Novaceck's back didn't sudden fail either. It was degenerative.
3. Free agency and poor drafting had finally caught up with the team. There was no depth on offense or defense and with Haley being out no pass rush. Shante Carver was never the answer.
4. At the end of the game there was a brawl on the Cowboys sidelines. Deion pranced as far away from it as he could with the biggest grin on his face. He was a mistake.
5. Irvin hugging Switzer repeatedly after the brawl and cradling his head is just not something a real head coach tolerates. The team was done.
6. The blank stare on Troy's face as he stood on the sidelines at the end said it all.
