Monday Night Football: Eagles at Packers

After watching last night's game, the game is moving too fast for Jordan Love. There were way too many plays that he had plenty of time to throw the ball but checked it down or scrambled.

He's good against bad defenses, but against the good defenses, you can't survive in this league by buying time with busted plays, checking down and scrambling on every play. You have to actually throw the ball downfield sometimes. Packers have 0 chance at a super bowl appearance this year.
I mean that’s everyone though. Jalen sucked too. Two good defenses. You gotta be willing to make that crucial play and it doesn’t seem Love can.

That was Romo too early on. He's buying time. But he got better. Hurts isn't the greatest either, but better than Love. But last night's game was cringeworthy. Love had time on so many plays and just tucked his tail between his legs. You don't see that with any QB worth his salt.

I can see if you're constantly under pressure. But he wasn't. You got to get the ball out. Guys aren't always going to be breaking wide open.

I disagree there. Jalen executed the Eagles offense the way it was called. He has shown over the years there's not much he can't do. As for last night's putrid offense? That blame goes directly on their rookie no experience offensive coordinator who is continuing to call games not to lose. It's cost them 2 games already and could have easily cost them more. He's a liability. Just look at Aj Brown. All kinds of talent is literally wasting away as a decoy. They have 2 of the best receivers in the league and they don't use them. Because they don't use them teams stack the box and stop the run. That offense has all world talent and should be blowing out other teams not skating by by a field goal, or a touchdown. They won't win a Super Bowl with that guy, and that's the blame of the owner, and GM.

He reminded me alot of Dak a few years ago. Holding the ball way too long and not seeing lanes opening up in front of him.

I thought I was watching the 84' Bears vs the 2001 Ravens. What a defensive battle. These are not bad offensive teams. These are the kind of defenses that win playoff games. Where can we get one?

Here we go with all the Micah nonsense again. Parsons is a generational talent. There is no denying that. Just look at how teams alter their game plans for him. The quick throws, extra blockers, double teams, etc. are all there because of Micah Parsons.

However, a couple of things I noticed about the Packers defense. They look equally if not more effective when he is out of the game. I think when he is in there they expect him to be the defense but regardless of how good he is, defense is still played by 11 guys.

Something else I noticed last night, Micah chased Hurts out of the pocket several times last night. But I remember when he played in Dallas he used to catch Hurts for sacks. Last night Hurts was able to avoid the sacks because Micah seemed unable to catch him. Has he lost a step? He is still fast for a Edge rusher, but his game is built on his speed and quickness. I did not see that last night.

Probably Brown’s locker room cancer for your team is showing.

Lol every one saying persons is "LT 2.0 " and a "great generational talent" really doesn't know ball
LT is arguably m the greatest defensive player of all time and he is, per Bill Bellichek. Not being LT is not a knock. There are other greater talents too, like Aaron Donaldson. But to be mentioned as being in a group like that is among the greats is enough.

The Eagles Weng with quick passes and ran the ball the opposite direction of Parsons. When teams game plan to take you out the game, you are good. Even the Panthers went quick the week prior, while running plenty of doubles at him:

The only ones saying that are Packers fans.
Oh I know, and I love me some Parsons, he's not worth the money he got, he's a great pass rusher IE like Robert Quinn,

But the last two games he's been a ghost ,I didn't even know he was playing last night, although I didn't catch most of the game, two games in a row he's not done a whole lot for the Packers, and I know their defense is playing well, but do you really want to pay one player over $45 million to be a decoy? to help the rest of the team, quote unquote like the impact he has because of the attention he gets?

that's what you want for 45 million, no, what I would want is a guy that actually is leading the league and Sacks, pressures, getting fumbles, tip balls up in the air, not just Drawing attention, that's a lot of money to pay for a decoy.

Maybe the Packers should have spent the money on a receiver LOL

they need a wide receiver more than they need a pass rusher to draw attention away from some of the other defenders but that's just me people are going to say it's sour grapes all I'm seeing the last two games he doesn't flash on the screen he's doesn't stick out you don't even realize he's playing...

George Pickens Welcome to the Packers next year and we get another one of their firsts lol

Look in no way am I try to bash Parsons like I said I have his jersey he's a great pass rusher I just don't see him being generational he's not making that big an impact yes he's helping he helped our defense but is that what you want for that kind of money I want an absolute game record I don't want a decoy I don't want a guy just drawing attention...

Yep, most people don’t realize they have a baby OC, with zero experience. The way the offense is being called is directly attributable to him.

That is the conundrum having two receivers that both want the ball all the time highly paid this is why they got a franchise tag george Pickens saved $30 million and get a draft pick back and just go get a young receiver you know maybe the future to replace Lamb but George Pickens is an embarrassment of riches is something the Cowboys don't need and I've been noticing the last couple of weeks Prescott is trying to make both of them happy....

Look at the Packers they would love to have one star wide receiver because they need one And the fact is you don't need to the Bengals and and the Eagles they do not need both of those players and they actually thought about trading A.J. Brown..

I'm not saying I don't want George Pickens here but it be beneficial to the Cowboys team to get a draft pick back and to save 30 million that they can help on defense and just go after another young receiver we already have an elite receiver here we do not need both....

I was going to mention that. That is spot on. But Dak got a lot better since then. Dak isn't some great QB, but we'll probably not see what we saw last night from Love ever again from Dak. Love almost looked like Justine Fields. Dude is playing scared.

Or, another idea, how about Jerry looks at what the Eagles do and emulate them. Philly has two very good receivers. The Cowboys should have at least two.

Eh teams gameplan around stopping Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald every game too, but they still reek/wrecked havoc every single game. Parsons seems easier to gameplan against when in compared to the other great defensive players he is always compared to.
