Moore is just as tall as Tyrod Taylor

That's the issue
A player can overcome being short, several have. But Moore has a very weak arm and while players have overcome not having strong arms I don't that any of them had as weak a arm as Moore. I like the kid and his moxie but just don't think he has an nfl arm

Short
Weak arm
Bad Feet
Lefty
Not fast or athletic

Besides that what could go wrong

I'm confused. That's not Tyrod Taylor. That's Greg Salas. Is there a picture I'm not seeing? Also, Taylor is listed as 6'1" and Moore is 6'0" so they're almost the same height. You don't need a picture to verify that. Not to mention, pictures are hard to judge considering angles and distance, and the guy in the picture isn't even the right guy. That being said, when did Tyrod Taylor become the prototype for NFL quarterbacks?

Ouch. Also, Salas is visibly taller than Moore in that pic.

Worst. Validation Post. Ever.

It's just like when Tony Romo was a complete failure for us from 2003-2005.

Yep, you nailed it. I remember nearly all the same comments being made about Romo

The master NFL talent evaluators are still here on the cowboyszone, LOL.

Dallas could have a 23 year old Johnny Unitas (look at his path to the NFL) on the roster and half the people would have him lynched halfway through his rookie season for throwing a couple of ints.

I wouldn't put all your eggs in that basket. In the history of the league, you can count the number of Tony Romo-like stories at quarterback on one hand.

I'm still hoping we take a quarterback in the top two rounds.

The point I was trying to make is that Tyrod Taylor wasn't a "complete failure" in Baltimore.

Moore also has the same skin pigmentation as Tom Brady and the same number of fingers and toes as Aaron Rogers.

Absolutely no definable reason why he can't be elite.

Lack of arm strength really hurts when you are in windy, rainy outdoor weather. Will be instructive to see if the issues consider inside the dome. That said, Moore's professional high point is probably as a coach.

I'll say this about Moore. Ive never seen an NFL QB look so strained throwing a football in my life. It looks like he is putting everything he has behind each pass. And they still have no velocity.

Taylor is taller faster and has a better arm...and i would not want him starting for a team that i wanted to win.

Tyrod Taylor is a Quincy Carter clone.........

Seriously? I know I'm a bit of a homer here but that is total bull. They aren't even remotely similar players. The only remote similarity is their skin color and I'm not one to go that route. But only thing I can think driving that comparison. Tyrod throws a much better deep ball, is more accurate, and is a hell of a lot more athletic. Disagree? Look at the numbers and then get back to me. Because Quincy isn't even on the same level. I mean hell look at the td to int ratio.

Some of you just spew garbage about players you've clearly never watched. And for no reason it's kinda funny.

I don't think Moore is 6 feet. Little under 5'11'' I'd say.

Manziel, Brees, Wilson?

Something doesn't quite fit there.

The thing that concerns me as we look at another QB..

is that Linehan wanted Moore and he obviously doesn't have a good feel for his own offense of what QB is best..

on the otherhand..I got the impression Weeden wasn't his first choice..

it was Garrett and Jerrahs.

Which brings me to the next conflict.

In looking for the next offensive leader..

what is going to be the criteria?

Are we looking for aomebody to fit Linehan's scheme or are we looking to find somebody similar to Romo..?

Or if we get lucky and somebody truely gifted falls to us..

do we change the scheme to fit him?

I watch what has happened to RG3 and Manziel and Kapernick and see where their playing styles get remolded in the pros and sometimes that's a deal killer.

So while I like the opportunity ahead..I question if we have the concepts, staff and flexibility to get it right without a lot of anghst.

Thoughts anybody?
