Always good to hear what a former Cowboys great thinks of the current team roster. He basically said they could be one of the top teams in the NFC next year. Mentioned Chicago could slide a little...

I believe Chicago slides a lot, actually.

To me, their performance last year was full of quite a few lucky breaks.

One of which was us losing to Seattle, because I think we matched up very well against them.

I don't see any evidence of improvement out of them.

They have alienated Briggs, so he's unlikely to be a factor.

They still have Rex Grossman as their starter.

They are now going to rely on Benson, who is coming off a knee, but also hasn't proven to be all that stable to begin with.

They had better do a smash up job in the draft, or they might not even make the playoffs.

Valid point.

I forgot about the fact that it is the worst division in football.

these guys fall into the "I'd give a limb to have them back" category. Especially Woodson. With that circus act at FS over the past few years, I'd sell my sould for another 6 - 7 years of classic Darren play.

I think the Bears also lost a couple of role players on defense like Ian Scott. Not to mention the fact that they lost their D Coord.

Good points.
Tank Johnson not being there will hurt
Grossman is a disaster
Bye-bye Thomas Jones
Briggs also said he is going to sit out most of the season. Another blow to the defense.
Going to be a long season in Bear-ville

I think chicago did catch a lot of lucky breaks which is why they ended up in the superbowl. This year will probably be different and grossman will ruin their season..again. Ps Irvin is my all time fav, moose was a unsung heroe because he was a fullback they get no glory but he was awesome to watch.
