You have to admit that the Eagles are feeling cornered. Losing this game will make them feel it's all over, unless Dallas after winning this one goes on a big losing streak (not impossible, but ...).
My forecast is Philly 31, Dallas 16. And a lot of talk on this forum come Tuesday about missing the playoffs.
...in that a very young Dallas team really has nothing to prove and everything to gain just purely from experience.
This is more a watershed game for the Eagles than the Cowboys, and what I remember about football is the more relaxed and controlled the team is in the locker room and huddle the better they perform.
Football is a game of execution based on recognition. Anxiety is the worst element to bring into a football team's psyche. Desperation leads regularily to bad plays.
If the Cowboys enter the game knowing their assignments and relax and play hard I think they have a better chance of winning. The only lelement I thkn we are short of is experience, but one thing is certain in football - given that it is a physical game
a lack of experience can be overcome with hard work.
The kids on the Cowboys have nothing to lose, they are all considered rookies who have done nothing yet. Take that advantage to the filed and show what you can do. There is no easier premise for a game than that.
I hope that Parcells see this as a possible watershed game and let the players play. If we lose he has ammo for the upcoming week. If we win he can still say 1 out of 3 for the upcoming week is still isn't a complete job.
Mentally the game is on our side. It's also fabulous that the line is presently against us on most sports books. There's really no pressure.
