Cool. Though if I was a season ticket holder I probably wouldn't ever kick someone out.

I was at a Dallas game a few years ago and this dude behind me dropped the F bomb a few too many times for a public place with kids around imo. Pretty loud and drank a few brews too. But I got to talking with him at halftime and found out he drove all the way from Alaska to see the game.

I would have felt horrible if he was escorted out.

The guy drove to the game from Alaska?

He was on the run. You should have turned him in.

We are judging people for drinking beers at a sporting event? I have no doubt he was obnoxious but using that to judge his financial prowess seems....silly.

Only other real comment is why are we afraid to let our best players play football? If Beasely is our best punt returner let him return punts. If a guy who has 7m guaranteed on his contract is too valuable to allow him to try and help us win games in a very critical area of the game (special teams)...then what are we doing? No really. Are we trying to win games?

You would think that a guy like Deion Sanders never would have returned a punt given this fear.

And, he was arguably more dangerous as a punt returner as he was a cornerback.

Just do weird people are terrified to use our players to try and win games.

But but but he might get tackled!

No, I'm judging people for drinking 12 beers at a sporting event. And the other part goes hand-in-hand 99 percent of the time. If I drank a case, I wouldn't drop f-bombs at full yell around women and small children. I was raised properly.

Deion Sanders was the greatest punt returner in NFL history, so that changes the dynamic. And he wasn't taking shots like a receiver.

Cole Beasley is the lead on Game of Thrones.

This is different.

If you want the best on the team to return punts, that would be Dez Bryant. Go ahead if you want to do that, right?

Yes, I would have no problem with it.

Special teams is 1/3 of the game - games turn on big special teams plays.

I don't believe Dez is our best punt returner. He doesn't have the wiggle or short area quicks that a guy like Beasely/Lucky have.

But if he was our far and away best guy....then yes i'd say use him.

For instance Darrenn Sproles is as integrated into the Eagles offense as Beasely is in ours. He has been their kick returner for some time. Josh Huff is listed as their starting wide receiver. He returns punts. And the Eagles have arguably the best teams unit in the league. Coincidence?

I'd say Dez is our best returner who also has the highest chance of taking it to the house. He's big, strong, good speed, good vision. He's a freak athlete.

Having said all that, there's not a snowballs chance in hell I'd risk him as return man. Those guys you are listing aren't franchise players.

Sproles is far better built for it than Beasley. He's got a thick base, and he's a running back by nature. He was one of the best punt returners in the nation at Kansas State, and again when he entered the pros.

Beasley takes hard shots at receiver already, and he's had injury issues prior to last year in limited use then. I don't think he can hold up to it.

Did you miss all those great returns from Dez early on? He was fantastic as a returner.

In fact, I think the intention is to use Dez occasionally when Dallas has teams punting out of their end zones.

I'll try not to rehash too much.

1. That was the fullest I've seen the stadium for a preseason game since the first season in the new place. There's a tangible optimism floating through there. Decent showing of Vikings fans, but there are a lot of transplants here from up there.

2. What is it with people? Preseason games are the worst, but what is it with the over-drinking at football games? I've got this loser behind me on beer 12 screaming after every Romo completion "F___ all ya'll that think Romo can't play. You don't know what the f___ you're talking about." I'm there with my very young kid. He's not rare at a preseason game, and I know people sell their tickets for nothing to these cats, but c'mon, why is our society going the lowest-common-denominator route so fast? The world is being overcome with losers. What is so fun about going to an NFL game and getting wasted like it's your first beer, over and over and over. Fortunately, the regular season is better, especially where I sit, but they're still all around all the time. The night game against the Giants will have a lot of problems as usual. And Cowboys Stadium is FAR better than most stadiums, which is even scarier. Again, we're not raising our kids, and they're growing up into a massive tribe of a-holes.

3. Sean Lee looked like Sean Lee. Roaming all over the place with speed and purpose. Weak side linebacker suits him very well, so hopefully he can have better fortune with injuries and do his thing. He'll make a big difference. Also, Gachkar looked OK in the middle, which surprised me. Also doesn't say much about their confidence in Brinkley, who could be getting cut tomorrow.

4. Brandon Carr looked good. He was tight on his coverage all game, and the one long one on him was an absolutely perfect pass that Derrelle Revis couldn't have stopped. Claiborne also looked pretty good.

5. Randy Gregory looks like the best player in the draft. I've watched him closely all preseason, and I haven't seen a snap yet where he didn't get some kind of movement or pressure. He's a handful. And when they put the front up with him and Lawrence, Hardy, and Crawford out there, it was a jail break to the QB. That will be GLORIOUS to watch this season. And it will make 3rd downs much harder to convert, and create a ton of balls up for grabs, too. Rod Marinelli is going to have so much fun with this, especially when Hardy gets back.

5. Interestingly, they had Byron Jones at safety a LOT. I think that's where his long-term future lies, and that's mostly what Dallas needs. He looked a little lost at times, and he got fooled on the 2-point conversion, but you can see his range out there. Just a matter of time. I like him back there on obvious passing downs, and I think dime package will be mostly when he plays this year unless more guys get hurt.

6. Romo is going to tear it up. That ball he zipped to Williams in traffic had some mustard on it. He feels a lot better than a year ago.

7. McFadden looked pretty good, but I'm not worried about Randle being able to run better. He simply didn't have the gaping holes that McFadden did. However, Randle struggled in pass protection, and that could be a problem that McFadden could solve. I think the coaches are really concerned about Randle in that regard.

8. As others have stated, do NOT put Beasley in punt returns. He's gonna get kilt. Way too valuable on offense to risk up there. Just fair catch all year if that's who they use, please.

9. Please, please, please, I hope the Vikings cut Hill or Heineke. I'd take either one over our backup blowhards.

10. Jason Garrett is feeling that new contract. He's working refs over, and he's in more command of the sideline than before, and he already was before.

On #2 go to the section chief and they will kick the guy out. Had the same problem at the Ranger game and I was about to explode. I was told to see the section guy and they hauled theses drunk idiots out without a word else. Everyone appreciated it and the stadium personnel said to never hesitate if someone is cussing up a storm. Never try to confront them yourself or you will get kicked out too.

Those returns were his Rookie year. He hasn't been as dangerous or done the job nearly as much in almost 4 years. I don't think he's our best option there anymore.

And i'm fine with Beas taking hits trying to help us win games.

But that's just me.

5-10 more yards on a return isn't worth it. This offense will hum. Find somebody who can catch the punt and not fumble, and let the offense take it from there.

Another guy who deserves some props in this game was Devon Coleman. He made some very nice plays in this game

Saying this in a game often decided by inches is alarming to me.

I think it's appropriate to politely ask someone to curb the profanity. Yell and scream in support of the team, but no matter what you paid or how far you travelled, there is no entitlement to shout unfiltered profanity like that. You're still in a public setting.

Would you go into a buffalo wild wings and yell words like that out? The stadium is the same thing, just more people.

if you want a punch in the face, sure.

While there is no entitlement to shout it, there is also no entitlement for fragile ears not to hear it either.

Good write up erod it's appreciated. I especially love observation #10.
