More proof : Dak thread

Over 1700 receiving yards left the team.

And? You act like no one else in the NFL we brought in can do what Dez/Witten did? We aren't replacing prime Dez and Witten. Especially Witten.

This is a flawed way to think. No one else got a legit chance to showcase themselves because Dez and Witten ate up so many of the targets. Neither of them did nothing to make that offense click last year. They were net negatives in the end. Replacing them and moving on is a great thing. Teams do it all the time. But for some reason, our fanbase latches onto guys who have won nothing at all like Romo/Witten/Dez and act like that was some great era. As in the triplets from the 90s. I don't get it. Those guys were as stale as they got from this offense. We could have easily went back to Romo when he became healthy in 2016 but we didn't thankfully. His time was done. And a year later, we finally move on from Dez and Witten. That stale era is over with.

He does......

So you are pointing out his worst 4 games in his 33 game career and says he sucks? Hahaha. Cherry picking at its finest. Got to love it. Why don't you post the game logs from every game of his career so far as a whole. Oh wait...Then your narrative won't work. Ooops.

It really seems that Dez and Witten are getting the brunt of blame for Prescott not spreading the ball around. Especially Dez.
Didn't Dak spread the ball around in 2016?
Weren't Dez and Witten on the team in 2016?
What changed from 2016 to 2017?

Calling qbs with a 22-10 record in the Nfl their first two years in the league, has passed for 45 tds ran for 12 more, and only thrown 17 ints trash, implies a ignorant Dallas Cowboy fan or a fan of another team with little knowledge of the NFL..Do you even football?

It would be one thing if this was early on, but that's not the case. Dak simply progressively got WORSE - this is why the QBR stuff is idiotic, oh and what some haven't mentioned, the QBR actually factors in what he does on the ground which has boosted his numbers. As a passer, he's actually around where Mariota was as a passer last year. Not exactly great.

He had one playoff season and went 3-4 down the stretch last year and lost a crucial game. He also had 11 TDs and 9 INTs in the final 8 weeks.

Doesn't exactly look great when you give some context of how he finished off last season, now does it?

If i have to explain it again...

What else did you not mention? It actually lends credence to only a qb and wr being on the field..Further why have you left out the first 8 games with the same receivers?

So you want context, while not providing any but raw numbers?

Yeah, all those receivers had down years....unsurprisingly, when Dak played poorly. So, let me ask what is more likely, did ALL of our WRs decline or was there an issue with the one trying to get them the ball?

And how a team performs down the stretch is more important than how a team/player started off.

I'll wait, Mr. Football.

No as I have stated several times, Last year a combo platter..All started with that poser Chaz Green.. HOWEVER i believe that Dez played a part, Twil did his usual and disappeared, and Beasley was schemed. I THINK the other side of this also includes Linehan going stupid several times due to nowhere to go, and no players to duet. MEANING that he didnt adjust Dez fast enough or Beasley at all..Dak has issues with accuracy in the pocket, however if you or anybody else think that he is trash, or that he cant overcome those issues, thats your opinion...Based on the above production of a third season qb.. I can handle this..All day long.

I bet any coach in the Nfl could work with that..It could always be a whole lot worse!

You really have nothing. I ALWAYS like criticism of players on the Cowboys but im not sure what you want..Why because you seem to be criticizing success in 8 out of 32 Games. LOL

Who on our offense was great? If we're going to only look at last season and say he got worse, at least be fair and address the vast differences in the teams between year one and two.

I'm a Dak fan, but two years is a small sample size.

Agreed.

I'm a fan also but I'm not getting in on the "Well Dak is GOING to be great because of 'X, Y & Z'".

And if I wasn't a fan I wouldn't base future failure on what happened Atlanta game onward.

It's simply too small of a window in either case.

Let's see what happens THIS season and then maybe we can judge the guy more accurately.

Is a shame that didn't get tweeted a few months ago . If the Cowboys knew they had a QB as good as Brady, they probably wouldn't have gotten rid of all their receivers and abandoned the passing game.

well according to cowboyszone.com, you win with the run...

Finally somebody brings up the yards and production of what was lost..Always a good point to argue.. Question if you criticized Dez You cant argue his production..Thats a rule..probly..lol

LET ME SEE

5tds from Witten
6 tds from Dez

THATS the production of two number Twos..Are you kidding me? You dont think Swaim and Jarwin will score five tds?,

YOU DONT THINK Hurns can score six Tds? I THINK you need to learn how to project Production in the Nfl..Next!

I already dismantled your argument using the very basic stats YOU attempted to use. You refused to give context, so I ended up providing it for you.

A player regressing and declining and playing poorly is much more important to look at than what he did 2 years ago. Also, Dak had some bad games BEFORE the final stretch as well - you know, like the Denver fiasco.

Do better, Mr. Football.

Yes pretty funny as this type of junk was happening with Green the first three games, and Cooper some till he got his legs planted..COMBO platter of Elliot gone, Smith Out and the Poser Green..
