Don't know cap details re current OL but here some things to factor into decision re upgrading OL next year (and other O positions): 1) Adams turns 31 in May06; knee injury prob takes 9-12 mos to fully recover from (if Adams works hard?) so it likely he not available for all of TC & Tucker is good backup not starter, 2) Allen will be 35 Nov06 & Riveria 34 Apr06; do we have their legit successors on team now? Peterman prob capable backup, not starter, 3) Gurode has size but lacks mental aspects but hasn't played at center a lot either & Johnson can't get bigger but can he improve strength? 4) Pettiti has hit rookie wall & can't play any better this season. Next year with conditioning and this year of experience might be capable RT??

We need an overhaul of OL & we already got big money invested in Adams/Allen/Riveria. If we can draft OG Max Jean Gilles in first round, should we? Actually we need 2 top OGs to succeed Allen/Riveria no later then 07. Or do we draft LT in first round who can replace Adams immediately & if Adams still can play do we move him to RT?? who Pettiti his successor if Adams doesn't do well there? Frankly, I think we need sign the best FA center out there if there is really a good one who doesn't eat up all our cap, but again we might have to draft one is a good one not available in FA.

We also need a good WR who really gets separation, a FB who can block & some decision re future QB after Bledsoe. BTW: We've got our picks in first 3 round, none in 4th, 2 in 5th & not sure about 6th & a pick in 7th. So we've got 6 picks to improve the team and hopefully sign a few FAs who can cut down the number of players we need to draft.

Improvement re OLB & FS is for another posting.
