Here's a good question: How many times have you seen a mock draft where Felix Jones was slated to go to a team other than Dallas in the first round?

I can't think of a single one off-hand.

mine :)

Carrucci has him going to the Cards at #16...

Of course he also has Justin King to us at #22. :lmao:

That is precisely the reason I have us going CB (Cason?) at 22 and Felix Jones at 28.

I guarantee you I'm fairly likely to be correct.....but maybe not too likely...

Not sure a middling talent like Felix Jones (Sherman Williams, redux?) is worth all this turmoil. No matter how much sense it makes, I think fans are frustrated by mock after mock projecting him to Dallas, thereby eliminating any kind of suspense. He's safe, not sexy. Hopefully, one of the top five corners will still be there at 22, making Jones at 28 more palatable.

I wonder what we would have done if a 21-yo Larry Fitzgerald (or some other stud receiver) were available in this draft.

another reason I like McFadden is his age...still only 20..wont be 21 till August...he could sign a 5 or 6 yr deal and easily still be just getting into his prime with his 2nd contract

Youthful indeed. He could almost pass for the older brother of some of the kids he's sired.

I gave you the terms, you're not willing to accept them.

I think the reason is that people don't think he's that fast, quick, agile, or has great vision.

I think your opinion is in the minority.

If it's a minority position, why are you bothered that so many people don't think he's worthy of a 1st round pick?

I'm not bothered at all. I'm not all that hot on him. I don't like him at 22. I barely like him at 28. But I don't understand why people don't see him as talented enough for the first round. If I were in the minority then I'd wonder myself. But since my opinion of him generally is in agreement with most of the rest of the world, I feel comfortable with it.

I would rather take a CB. I'm in the minority of thinking of taking a S with one of those two first round picks. I believe there is better value with a RB in the second. The problem though is that the ones I like in the second will be gone by 61. That's makes us have to reach. Unless of course Stewart falls or they pick Jones with that 22 or 28.

I just think he lacks the talent to be a 1st round pick. I don't think he can be a 1300 yard per season every down back. I think that notion is probably in the majority. Not many people likely think he can be an every down back. So, if your opinion is that he can do that, then I think you're in the minority.

Of course, he wouldn't have to do that here, but I can't stand the thought of drafting a RB in the 1st that can't even do that if asked. But that's most likely why he's projected to go to us so often -- because he wouldn't have to be an every down back. No "complementary" back is worth a 1st round pick to me.

I would be happy with a runningback and corner in the 1st round.Eventhough, I do think that none of the receivers are worth taking in the 1st,my major worry with this team next year is at the receiver spot.I love Owens,as long as he is healthy, but Crayton isn't a #2 receiver, and you really can't depend on Terry Glenn.I really hope some way they can make a deal for a good veteran wideout.

I said it before and I will say it again. Flowers is the best corner in the draft and its almost guaranteed he will be there when we draft. There is no way Jerry will pass on him if he is a smart man which i think he is. Throw away your stopwatches already.
