Mosley on 103.3 claims Stewart > Jones

Says he's getting the vibe from people he talks to with the team that if Stewart and Felix are both there at #22, they would take Stewart. He's in New York for the draft and says he didn't get that feeling before he left a couple of days ago. Says they compare him to Steven Jackson -- only Stewart's faster.

I know this isn't much -- doesn't everyone think Stewart is better? But Mosley thought it was a change in sentiment from the Cowboys point of view.

Also says that if we thought we could move back from 22 to the 24-26 range and get Felix, we could do it.

Overall, we'd take Jenkins at 22 if he were there, but it's a longshot he'd be there.

The guy Mosley trusts most at VR says they haven't completely ruled out Jerry moving up to #8 or so for McFadden, but still doubt it happens.

Mosley hears that Jordy Nelson is moving up and the Skins love him. They went to work him out with Zorn and Campbell and everyone a couple days ago.

(BTW, Galloway says he heard a while ago that almost all the "first round" WRs were being downgraded by scouts because of weed rumors.)

Thanks a ton for the information.

I called the Stewart thing weeks ago. I'm not at all sure that he'll even be there, but if he is, I think he'll be extremely tempting for Dallas.

The idea of moving down just a spot or two and still getting Felix Jones really appeals to me too. I could see Jerry being in one of those modes where he is determined to get that fourth rounder back; he does that sometimes.

Anyway, I can't wait...

Stewart makes more sense if you're paying first round $$ to a RB. He can be "the man" in a couple of years if necessary.

So, it's Jenkins > Stewart > Felix ... depending on who's there.

Let's hope Jenkins falls. But personally I like Jones over Stewart slightly, but they're pretty even.

Stewart could step in and carry the entire load for a few games. I don't see Jones doing that -- but I do like his homerun ability

I know I've posted this before, but I've thought Stewart could be our pick even last year, just because I know Wade had a few sub-six-foot, 230-lb type RBs at Buffalo. And he reportedly loved Michael Turner, who is of the same build, so maybe he just likes the shorter, stockier kind of backs.

But then Stewart started going up the boards... And I still doubt he's there when we pick.

But you never know... I never dreamed that Spears would make it to 20 a few years ago.

Mike Jenkins and Jonathan Stewart would be the ideal draft. Talk about stealing.

I actually have us taking Mike Jenkins at #22 in my mock draft. Then Felix Jones at #28. I would prefer to pick up Ray Rice, because I think he's going to be a stud RB in the NFL.

I hope Jenkins is gone before 22.

His own position coach says he needs to be pushed to work hard, and I would rather have Cason or Flowers later anyway.

Hard work's overrated, anyway.

No surprise really, I believe most Teams have Stewart higher on their Boards.

I think Stewart is pretty much higher than Felix on most boards. The only problem with Stewart is he's always nicked up. How he is going to stay healthy when he's tackled by bigger, stronger and faster players in the NFL.

I'm with Chief ... I don't like Jenkins.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this the conventional wisdom all along?

I dont know much about the players in this years draft.

So take my comments on the draft for what they are worth. Nothing.

I like what I see from stewart more than jones. The only thing that worries me is that I have read from a bunch of reviews that he isnt as physical as his size and doesnt like contact. That is a concern.

he seems to be a good guy though and he fits our speed and size m.o.

Stewart is more of a guy who can carry the load more than Felix Jones and suprisingly at the combine Stewart almost ran as fast a Felix Jones(even though it does not matter) and to me if you are going to get a first round RB it should be a running back that you know can carry the load.

Clearly Stewart is better. People, I've watched a lot of Razorback games and Jones rode McFadden's coattails. He's an average back with slightly better than avg speed. He's just okay. Wouldn't draft him before late 2.

Regardless I don't think there's a chance Stewart is there at 22 anyway.

My sources are telling me we snag Jamal Charles at 28 or high 2nd from a trade down.:D

As someone who follows the Pac-10, I'll tell you that Stewart is pretty damn physical. If you watched a few of his games last year, not just the highlite reels on youtube/draft shows, youd see he's never tackled by the first, often even second man. He moves the pile well. He hits the LOS hard. He's a real good back.
