Can't you guys see what is really going on? ESPN is working up their next biggest story and the stage is already being set. This thing is bigger than Roy Williams, only this time, Roy will be the scapegoat.

Pay attention to the news and you will see all the media questioning whether Williams is a true #1 and can he replace the productivity of Owens. Meanwhile, in the Northeast, the media is magically turning T.O. into the Buffalo darling. Fans are happy to have him, he shows up to OTA's, he instantly makes the Bills a playoff contender, Marshawn Lynch will be a beast now that Owens is there, Lee Evans will have his best year with Owens taking off the pressure, yada yada yada....

What happened to the "Owens is a cancer, all he does is destroy teams, his talent and productivity on the field is not worth the headaches..." Funny how the media can flip the switch at the drop of a hat. The worst thing said about Owens since he landed in Buffalo was that he will be quiet for one season before becoming a malcontent, which is unlikely because I doubt he stays in Buffalo (just a 1 year contract) and looks to cash in with a real contender again after playing nice.

But back to the media plot; If Roy fails to produce a 1,000 yard season and the Cowboys fall short of a playoff appearance/victory, look for the media to jump all over Jerry Jones for making yet another dumb decision that set the franchise back a few years and they will harp on how good owens was to the Cowboys and why he never should have been cut. Roy will get the heat as well.

It's all being setup to once again make the Cowboys the laughing stock of the NFL. But if Roy does well and the Cowboys at least win a playoff game, expect no apologies from the media; but do expect major butt-kissing of Roy and Jerry.

But as for now, this thing is bigger than Roy Williams. This is big business. This is the American way.

Roy Williams looks like he has added muscle to his frame and he made some really nifty catches with defenders hanging on his arms. He also switched to his college number (4) for one session. I used to see him play at Texas quite a bit, so it brought back memories -- mostly painful.
This explains a lot.

Steve Smith = Patrick Crayton not RW.

Woooo there Cowboy.. I think you're a bit over the line on this one.

Patrick Crayton has 2,200 career yards, 18 TDs and 107 first downs. Call me up when Steve Smith hits half that and then we'll start a discussion to see if he's similar to Crayton.

I know exactly what you're trying to say and that post of yours should be shoved down Mosely's ******** throat, but this Steve Smith badwagon ( Not you ) that I've seen from some people around the web is completely rediculous.

The guy has ONE career TD.. ONE..

Ray Alexander has 7 times as many.. Ray Alexander..

* I can actually see the young crowd in here googling the Alexander name right now *

:D

dude barely averages 10 yards a catch
the love for him is ridiculous
there's a reason the Giants used a 1st on Hakeem Nicks, AND then took Barden later

One can only wonder how Garrett continues to escape the pressure of the media...

There you go letting facts get in the way of a good agenda again.

Williams being injured is a big part of the opposite "agenda". That is the number one reason why he hasn't been the number one everyone says he really is. The lousy Detroit team, their QB, none of the other excuses are as significant.

That's the issue. That's where the skepticism comes from. Instead of playing a pretend game where injuries aren't factors on consistency, let's focus on facts as you state.

He hasn't done it more than a year and the fact he was injured is the biggest factor. Like it or not, staying healthy is a big part of a player's overall makeup. I don't care how talented you are and how you produce when you are healthy, if you can't log a full season and it keeps you from fulfilling expectations, it is a problem.

First off, saying he's almost better is the same as saying not better.

I wouldn't call Jackson, Williams, Smith, or Moss a beast. They're all run of the mill receivers. Plax was a beast when his heart was in it.

I don't consider someone talking about his injuries an agenda. Those are indeed facts...I also believe that an injury last year played a big role in his disappointing season with Dallas. So yes, injuries are very relevant and rightful knock on him up to this point in his career.

I do believe the blanket he sucks because he sucks is an agenda at this point. It could be proven to be true, but I will take the wait and see approach.
