Mosley: The Cowboys are bluffing when it comes to their thoughts on drafting a QB at No. 4

If a quarterback is not taken up top, that at least is a vote of confidence that a valid expectation of longevity with Romo exists with the Cowboys.

How does that make it a VALID expectation? You don't know that about any player from one year to the next. Even less so about a 36 year old QB with a bad back. Maybe it means that is their expectation, but it definitely doesn't mean its valid.

I believe Stephen is certainly more receptive to a QB this year than Jerry.

But it will take a lot of persuasion from his son, the scouts and probably the coaching staff to get Jerry to sign off on that pick.

you know Risen...if you truly care about this team...you coooooould kidnap Jerry on April 28th.

Seeing too much effort to secure a Veteran RB for Elliot, Thornton cooled the Buckner fire and Bosa could be less than Gregory or DLaw by game 6. The top ILBs are still injured.

Just guessing the Dallas Draft Board falls like this come Draft Day.

#1 Ramsey
#2 Tunsil
#3 Goff
#4 Wentz

Yea, it does...really. If not, the team WOULD take a replacement in their high pick.

your assuming Jerry knows what he is doing. Has his track record for past 20 years warranted such optimism from your part? I think not.

Jerry always sends out smokescreens when it comes to the first pick. I never believe. We are probably going QB with that pick.

..... Former Eagles personnel man and current ESPN analyst Louis Riddick told 103.3 FM ESPN's "Afternoon Show with Cowlishaw & Mosley" there's almost no way you can watch film of Prescott in college and project him as a starter in the NFL.......
.

This, coupled with the DUI tells me, Hell No!

Hell yes, unless one evaluates each and every progression of his, with blinders. I don't start out with a stereotype based upon bias. His teams have won three Lombardis. By the way, how many have Washington and Philadelphia won in the interim?

Within the past ten years, two of his teams have won 12 games during the regular season. That is achievement.

Cross your fingers and toes Risen. You just might get your wish this time.

If it's a smoke screen it's not going to work. We will know if they really are considering Wentz/Goff if or when they bring them in for a visit. No visit probably means no QB at 4. If they do bring them in, they are at least seriously considering it.

IMO if they bring in all 3 of Wentz, Goff and Lynch one of them will be a Cowboy

Don't expect them to bring them in if they are really considering them myself
Why show your hand? They have had plenty of time to talk to Wentz at Sr bowl and plenty of film on Goff
I personally prefer Wentz and neither may be there but I have always thought if the one they like is there at 4 they will take him

I would pick Goff/Wentz over Ramsey if it came down to it. The CB/safety position is lot stronger than the qb position in this draft and we may never have a chance like this again. I believe we can get a good CB or safety later in the draft. I can't say that about a qb though.

you do help to explain why Jerry marketing plan has been success.

Jerry doesn't believe in thinking long term. Every year he thinks he's a Joey Galloway or Roy Williams away from winning the Super Bowl.
