You and me both. How can a lawyer be so stupid? It doesn't help that he knows very little about the rules of FA and what can and cannot be done. He says one thing and then the complete opposite a few seconds later. According to him, we've signed Pacman 7 or 8 times already.

I don't think its Aurora thats the problem. Its Bud Adams.

What kind of franchise decides to not meet contractual obligations no matter what the situation. What kind of franchise holds a player hostage and try to get us to play the incentive bonus?

Its like hes Boss Hog back in his office screaming " I don't care how many may play he got in, I'm not paying him a dime!!!!"

And now its turned into a grudge match over this money and its so obvious that this is not professional, its personal.

This is the NFL, not Hazzard County.

A professional organization would have taken what they could get and moved on, not string it out like a jaded lover with all the lies and posturing nonsense.

They did this same crap with McNair back in 2006. He was their franchise player for a decade, led them to the Superbowl and constantly played hurt. In 2005 he played with a chest contusion which I think you can imagine playing QB that might hurt a little.

Regardless the franchise made a decision to move on and drafted VY in the draft. The writing was on the wall that he was on the outs but the way they handled it was more like Bud's Country Oil and Lube than the NFL.

They tell McNair that he is not welcome back at their facilities to work out because " he might hurt himself." Nevermind that they have trainers there specifically to help him with things like rehab. So McNair files a grievance and wins. this all takes MONTHS and the entire time they are negotiating with the Ravens about McNair.

Well with their hand forced, they say that McNair has to take a physical before he can come back to train. On the very day that he is on the way back to Nashville they trade him to the Ravens.

These are not the actions of a sane human being. I have had ex girlfriends that have done things like this. Hold onto somethng important of mine so I have to try and get it back and all the time freaking out only to have a friend bring it over to me after i force the issue. Its stupid.

i dont expect it to go any differently with Pacman than it did with McNair. First they want a draft pick then they want two now its two plus cash. Im sure next itll be something like a suite at the new stadium or some other nonsense. This will all go on until the day that Jones is reinstated and they have to take him off the suspended list and theyll trade him for whatever they can get.

But you hear nonsense about how the Titans don't want to reward Jones or that he doesn't deserve this. What kind of nonsense is that? What is this the Tennessee Titans 90210? This is business and I am sorry you invested so much in him but if you have decided to move on then MOVE ON!

They could have done it 4 months ago but oh no lets be drama queens and drag this out.

I will like the Titans team because they have VY but after seeing how they do business I hate their management in each and every possible way. After Al Davis, Bud Adams has to be the worst owner in the NFL.

I agree with that. The McNair debacle is proof enough.

Good comments Fuzzy. There is so much smoke blowing around this deal right now, it's impossible to see ground truth. I have been slightly sympathetic toward the Titans up to this point. I think the Ttians are getting screwed and Jones gets to land in a great spot after being nothing but trouble for them. It has to be frustrating. However, if a repayment of bonus money is what is holding up a deal where they really want to get rid of Jones, the Titans organization is carrying the phrase "it's just business" right down to to the "holding a grudge" level. Bud Adams has no love for the Cowboys from the "Oilers" days, so if it is really true that no one else is interested, that just adds to Adams' frustration.

We'll see how it plays out.

Hate to agree with the Fuzzy One, but he called it on this one.

Bud Adams has been a "A" hole for a long time. THe McNair mess was just the most talked about incident.

Pac talking out his arse? Imagine that:rolleyes:

No, that's his agent playing hardball knowing he doesn't have a lot to go with and when Pacman says they are close, it makes the agent's argument even weaker. It's the agent's job to say they aren't close.

IMO, they ARE indeed close and it will definitely happen.

At least my sources are saying this. ;)
