Most deflating loss since the Detroit meltdown

It really is hard to bounce back and realistically think this team can go anywhere after being torn apart by Rivers last night. Any good QB or good OC will dissect the film and use this as a blueprint. Sadly Kiffin is not known to make adjustments. We can't use the injury excuse. While Rivers is a very good QB, it's not like the Chargers overall have great offensive personnel - far from it. Giving up 400 yards at 80% is disgusting. Now we have to look forward to Peyton Manning and then Shanahan with 2 weeks to prepare for Kiffin. How will Monte respond?

This is what this season will come down to.

And I agree that this was really deflating. Losing to the Chargers yesterday was bad enough but it was the way we lost that was deflating -- taking control by the late first half only to get slobberknocked the rest of the way.

We owe it to ourselves to find some positives in this season. Mine is that I have Manning as my starting FF QB and he is playing a Dallas Defense that cannot stop the pass next week.

The difference is those games(Sea/Chi) were determined by unforced mistakes and questionable effort. What concerns me vs SD is we were systematically undressed by a mostly unspectacular offensive outfit. While Rivers is a very good QB, the skill position and offensive linemen are a mediocre group at best. And Kiffin is not known to really adjust or change things within his system. He relies largely on players perfeting his scheme which this group is a long ways from. I thought our effort was there yesterday.

The seattle one was just a killer to me. It may sound dumb but i honestly gave up on our season last year after that game. I cant stand games where your team gets made out to look like boys againt men or a high school team in the nfl. Its ridiculous and makes you embarrassed as a fan after a performance like that.
