...since I don't remember when. Sure, "The Catch" sucked as did losing 3 straight NFC championships in the 80s, the '94 NFCC loss, etc. But at least those teams had some heart and weren't embarrassed.

I haven't been this disgusted after one game since the Texans made fools of the franchise back in 2002. And I don't know if I've been so down about a season ever.

Going to the playoffs sucks -- with the position this team was in, anything less than an NFC Championship is a failure.

I am with you. This is a mentally whipped football team.

This reminds me of the 1983 Dallas team that simply folded its tents in the latter part of the season. They had a 12-2 record at one point and ended up as a wild card loser. They had the chance to clinch the division and home field in a late season home game against the Commanders and were blown out.

The 2002 Texans game is meaningless to me. That was two terrible teams playing each other and one of them had to win.

Parcells tenure here has been frought with disappointment and frustration. I would call his tenure here a failure. Dont give me the crap about 'we are so much better personnel wise'. Really? Carter won 10 games with a suckier team then we have now and this team will only win 10 games cause we have the lions up next.

Let me rephrase that -- anything less than winning the NFC East was a disappointment.

Sheesh, as a lifelong fan and season ticket holder, I feel like I've wasted a ton of time, money, and -- most importantly -- emotion on this team this year.

I feel it's like end of 2002 -- you just know that changes are coming.

This reminds me of the, uh, 2005 team.

We were 7-3 and collapsed to finish 9-7. This year we were 8-4, two game lead in the division, and now we'll probably go 2-2 down the stretch to finish 10-6 and most likely be one and done in the playoffs.

Just another late season collapse when good teams start turning it up a notch.

BP's taken this team as far as he can. I don't know if his replacement will be better, but I do believe this is a much as we'll ever see out of a BP team.

The Houston game bothered me because of our performance and Carter's interview afterwards.

To me the most frustrating season was 2000 when we had veterans who simply didn't care. Only highlight was knowing that Erik Williams, the king of screwing off at work, was about to be kicked out of town.

The sad part is that hundreds of thousands of Cowboy fans invested 3 hours away from Christmas and away from their loved ones to see a game that the players themselves were not involved in.

The players showed up, collected their money and went home.

Another sad part is I don't think the team as a whole knows how poorly they played. They need a major attitude adjustment. Or find themselves in Cleveland or Green Bay as they deserve.

I'd just like to add that either of these two teams could kick our butts right about now.

What a sad performance from a flat team.

I truly fail to understand how this team can have this much talent and show so little emotion or heart. This team is as talented as any team in the league and is capable of winning it all, but the way they play shows they simply don't have the desire to win it. They get behind yet they play with no intensity or effort and then play the blame game afterwards. TO is the absolute worst at pointing fingers at everyone else, but himself. He says he isn't involved early in the game, yet when they do throw him the ball he makes drops at the most crucial times. He may be a great player, but he certainly isn't a dependable one. I for one wouldn't care if he were elsewhere next season.

We went 2-4 in the division this year and if the NFC East is truly the toughest division in football I think that tells us exactly where this team is as far as competing for a championship.

I cant quite make the correlation because we knew those teams had heart before the games were even played regardless of winning and losing. Thats how they got in those positions in the first place. Core groups of guys that had already laid it on the line over a period of time.

Now you have a ragtag group of guys mostly assembled over the last couple years thats yet to win a thing together.

Why would a person have particulary high expectations in the first place? Cause of things they saw "on paper"?

If I may, allow me to try to brighen your day.

You COULD be Commanders fans this year. Our season's been over for well over a month. At least you guys get to play meaningful games in December.

what the good in playing them if you are beaten before the opening kickoff?

we've played 4 games against 4 different teams this month. Every one of them played their BEST game (by far) against us...we have failed miserably down the stretch again, and played our absolute worst in the biggest games

those are signs of poorly coached teams

Well, maybe you're right. Better to start the year 2-5 and be done with it.

It makes me sick that this dog turd of a team is going to the playoffs to get hammered & tattooed one and done by whomever they face.
