There are really only 2 options:
Larry Allen - He beat people up on the field because it was fun.
Erik Williams - He beat people up on the field because he genuinely wanted to kill them and eat their children.

Randy White was a bad-arse for his size (6-4, 257) but there's no way he could match up with Larry Allen.

Have to agree with this...

This list I have started is in no particular order except for #1. This list is those players who were feared on the field and thought to be someone you wouldn't mess with off of it too...Please help me add to it if you want. I know I'm forgetting many. I know Witten isn't really known for this but he's on my list..........

Randy White
Charles Haley
Erik Williams
Larry Allen
Mark Tuinei
Marc Columbo
Bob Lilly
Jason Witten
Moose Johnston
Harvey Martin
Hollywood Henderson
Rolando Mcclain
Jay Ratliff?
Ken Norton Jr.
Anthony Spencer?

Missing Harvey "Too Mean" Martin and Roy "Biscuit" Williams. Cliff "Capt. Crash" Harris could also lay a lick on you. But one of the most feared Cowboys of all time was not really that tough, Deion "Primetime" Sanders. Neon Deion was better, but Primetime was more feared.

How about Marion the barbarian? Didn't see too many people happy to take a hit from him

But was MB3 truly feared? IMO Emmitt, TD, Herschel and the Sphinx were much more feared. Think Dez and Murray will be on that list before long as well.

What about Roy Williams, man that dude could hit, until the league changed the rules.

Sound familiar? Murray seems to enjoy contact just as much. I mean 20 open yards the opposite direction but he'd rather hit a defender :) lol

He don't hit half as hard as Barber did. You could hear the pads smack on TV. Murray seemed to head for the sidelines more often than not last season.

RE: Randy White

I got this quote from Ronnie Lott, relating an experience he had during pre-game warmups for the 1981 NFC Championship game against Dallas (Yeah, you know the one I'm talking about, ala "The Catch"):

"Lott: That week, I was driving down the 280 freeway, and a fan was yelling at me. I literally thought it was road rage. Finally, I realized he was saying, "Frickin' beat Dallas!" And then before the game, (Cowboys defensive tackle and eventual Hall of Famer) Randy White yelled at me: "Hey man, get on the other side of the 50!" I said to myself, "That's Randy White." I was a rookie; you better believe I walked on the other side of the 50. It scared the crap out of me."

Mark Tuinei was the meanest guy in the NFL ....... bad *** Samoan.

I thought I remembered Waters saying White was the baddest but I saw a documentary lately and it was him saying it was Tuinei. Bad memory I guess. LA was not a nasty player. Gogan was and Erik had the best head slap I've ever seen.
